Sorry. Big plans already this weekend.

Today: Watching squirrels in backyard.

Tomorrow: Ironing socks and sorting shirts in closet by color and fabric to form rainbow.

Man, we had so many squirrels running around the yard it looked like a session of congress. I started trapping and re-locating them. Wish I could do that with with congress.

I trapped a bunch a few years ago. A buddy of mine had a farm with several acres of wooded area and he wanted to relocate them to his farm so he could hunt them because he didn't have many squirrels on his property. He set out 2 traps in my backyard and over a 3 week period he trapped about 20-25....I'd call him and he'd come and get the traps....His farm was about 25 miles from me so after 3 weeks and making that 50 mile round trip every 2-3 days a week for 3 weeks he said he'd had enough...LOL

I kid you not, the more we trapped the more squirrels showed up and replaced them....I have a wooded area behind me with several 80-100 foot hickory nut trees so it's like a 5 star resort to those suckers.....I just gave up and let them have their way. They WON!

Today I am watching bunnies in the front yard; saving squirrels in the back for tomorrow.

Tip of the day...rabbits DETEST the smell of human urine.

I have a small yard and my son an I each spring and late summer for a few nights per around the edge of our yard. Little suckers will live in all the yards around us and won’t come into our yard at all!

My problems are squirrels and MOLES!! Can't get rid of those critters.
I had moles several years ago then chicken snakes show up and... poof... the moles are history. I have to take precautions to keep them out of my bluebird boxes though. I'm not a great snake enthusiast by any stretch but I decided to co-exist with them to take care of the moles. Sometimes when I'm walking in the yard and not paying any attention one will cause me a slight heart attack. Actually I don't have that many encounters with them. They stay hidden for the most part.

I'm sure if any recruiting news breaks the commits will become the news. I think!

When you think you still have that high school pep squad routine down but that ten extra pounds of donk are NOT taken into account.

We live here in the Chicago suburbs and have three big hickory trees on our property. We have the fattest squirrels I’ve ever seen. We had a bumper crop of nuts last fall and these guys were overdosing themselves.

I'm watching the bulldog blog. Sure they will let us know when it happens.
HarderKnox reigns in the thread to relevance. We haven’t had this much success in recruiting in so long- drifting away from the discussion is pretty squirrelly. Somewhere I read at least 1 four star was going to use Mother’s Day as his announcement. Stay tuned!

I had a bad mole problem in the backyard but my neighbor's lab dug them up and killed them. It's been about three years. Now, Shelby and her family moved away and the moles are coming back. I miss Shelby.
Haven't heard of any new recruits today, too.
