I have a buddy inside the Alabama program that has told me that KS is NOT very happy with Nick Saban. He said that the two clash often. Makes sense, because Little Nicky has never been thought to treat his Assts very well. I think if what he says is true (and I trust this guy), then it could be feasible that he would come to UT as a Co-DC/Linebackers coach with the understanding he would have a great possibility of being the next DC after Monte decides to hang up the whistle for good.

Just a thought...

Who would be happy working for saban? He's a jerk. Steele can come to UT, learn the ropes from Monte and then take over, making big money.

Or possible, as in "Kiffin's already been in contact with Steele, and Steele's interested...it's possible he could join Lane's staff as soon as next week"

Just a thought...Monte may realizes that this is a big opportunity for his son and wants to be here to help out for a couple of years; bow out and Steele takes over as DC.

Was thinking the same thing. I understand the rationale listed above about the Monte and Saban factors but is that possible in any way, shape or from close to being probable?

Would he wait unitl after the bowl game if they win the championship game? Or would he come after next week if they lose to Florida?
