I hope this isn't true. I'd rather ride out a 2-year suspension of Bruce Pearl than essentially stop trying to compete.

He made a comment today that sort of retracted that. He seemed to think they were willing to pay high, but "they're not going to offer Tom Izzo $5 million." That was his comment; not that that's exactly breaking news or anything.

Stevens isn't interested in UT. He turned down several overtures last year to cash in and stay at Butler.

I wish VCU had lost yesterday and UT had already locked up Shaka Smart so it could be announced after the tourney. His price will continue to rise.

He is a smart coach. He as a point guard at a small college. Big time assist guy who knows the game and can recruit. He is beyond smart. Has connections in Florida. The kids here at Clemson loved him.

He could be a homerun.
