I didn't hear it but I am told he said RS isn't a real candidate on 104.5FM this morning. We are all very excited it seems about what we are hearing but are we ignoring the one media member that is reliable? What exactly is Hubbs saying about this situation?

Hubbs isn't all that reliable either. He's whiffed several times recently.

"Most" reliable does not equal "very" reliable. The CIA could probably learn things about information control from Dooley.

Hubbs simply isn't going to throw his name out there until he is certain. This is the way he gained credibility in the first place. It is a no lose situation for Hubbs now...even if Shannon is named later this week. Hubbs knows how to play the game.

I agree he knows how to play the middle but if I was told correctly he said RS wasn't really in play. That is far from the safe play here. Anybody hear exactly what he said?

Serious question.......... what is Randy Shannon doing now? Is he a candidate anywhere else?

Again...there are only a handful of people that would know that. Hubbs can just ask surprised when he breaks it and be the hero.

That's not what Hubbs said this morning on 104.5. He said that Shannon is a possibility and is a name that is being thrown around. He did say that Steele was probably the first call made, and mentioned that Wilcox was not Dooley's first or second choice the first time around.

If you're waiting for Hubbs to "break" the news, you might as well just wait until the official press release. Not much difference.

If you need further proof see how hubbs acted when Santos and McNeil committed to us when I believe he was saying we had little chance and believing they where leaning toward AnM at the time.

I know 2 different guys who Know stuff. When they say done deal they've never been wrong. Neither Guy will commit to anything. These guys always know what's going on.
I will not believe anything till I see a Guy at a press conference thanking Hart and CDD for the job.

Not going to bash Hubbs but there has been to much posted here about Shannon that sounds legit. Mainly in Doc's post. Made to much sense to be made up imo. I've learned as a Vol fan not to believe anything till its final but this Shannon stuff seems more real than rumor to me.
