I have the yard waxed by some brazilians. keeps it a nice smooth look and lasts a lot longer. then I can kick back, enjoy playing in the yard with a nice cold beer and my lawn dart.

I've got a neighbor on a corner lot up the road that mows every other day. He's retired and I guess he has nothing better to do. My next door neighbor usually mows every fifth day or so. Not too bad.

I usually aerate the entire landscape before laying down seed. Normally, I'm content with a nice tight trim.
