How would you play Kentucky on defense?

Snell is basically the entire offense for them. So obviously as stated you have to bottle him up. I am curious to see if he is still dinged up. He was gimpy in the MO game. UGA held him to 78 yards. Now we are no where close to UGA's defense. Although I think hes pretty worn down. You hit him in the mouth early and I think we got a shot. At the end of the day this game is more about our OL than it is the KY offense. Play like this past week and KY sets records on us.

I think the bigger question is, can Tennessee even score on Ky’s defense, after the Charlotte debacle, I’m not so sure then can, are you?

Man on the corners, spy on the QB, everyone else to the runningback. They'd have to prove to me they could throw it over me or to open TE's before i changed it.
Yep. I actually would stack 8 in the box every single down even if it's 3rd & 12. Let them try to beat us throwing it.

Run a basic 4-2-5 one DB spying Wilson with LBers keying on Snell, run gap blitz on 2nd down a lot, forcing 3rd and longs.

Play a 6 man front shooting gaps all night. Have corners play press jamming the receivers while looking for the run. 2 linebackers spying Wilson and Snell. Safety up tight daring them to throw deep. Also blitzes from every direction to mix it up when not doing other responsibilities. In other words,,sell out for the run 150%.

Biggest thing we can do is actually move the ball on offense and keep them off the field. If Kentucky wins TOS we are probably done. I don't think we have the talent to stop both Wilson and Snell running. I am not that worried about the pass, they have decent stats there, but quite a bit of it is after teams start stacking the box to stop the run, and they are mostly short passes.

Hopefully Kentucky is at least a little beat up after Georgia. I'll take the Vols though. I think we will do just enough to get this one done. Hopefully the crowd shows up and makes it difficult for them. I'll be there.

With JG’s alleged wheels why don’t they run the TE bootleg more often? It’s a pass/run option if you do it right it’s very hard to stop.

Load the box and if the qb can beat us then tip your cap to him and move on. I feel like this game may be right up Pruitts alley. Set the def up to stop the run and force turnovers from a very avg qb.
