How would you play Kentucky on defense?

Man on the corners, zones in the middle, safeties cheated up to stop the run. make them have to throw the ball downfield and contain that QB from running.

Number one priority is stopping Snell. Play in man to man coverage, with disguise blitzes sometimes and other times let them know we’re coming. Make our defense too difficult for there QB to know what we’re doing. Keep the run as the number one priority, don’t back off. Hopefully our CB’s can keep up, which I believe they can if we bring the house early and rock the QB. If we are successful in this and force them to throw, send someone on a blitz consistently but keep an LB for a spy just in case he takes off and runs. I believe the only way there QB can beat us with pressure( at Neyland) is there quarterback taking off and running the ball. Alontae and Thompson gotta lock down there guys. But again, I believe it all goes back to stopping Snell and making them one dimensional.

Give the Wildcats a quadruple dose of Catnip, then hit em in the groin 3 times very quickly

Cannot forget about containing Wilson. He is a very shifty runner.

Keep #34 on the bench....

Run blitz to fill gaps on 1st & 2nd downs...drop and play coverage on 3rd and long....
Corner blitzes on strong side to limit perimeter run game.
Make them sustain drives by not giving up explosive plays....

Swallow our pride and re-embrace the Dooley magic. Run the 5-5-3 all nite and spy Snell.

Load the box, and keep their QB in the pocket, if he gets loose, he can beat you with his legs for sure. Edge rushers have to keep containment and force him to run backwards or back inside. If we do that we win this game I think.

Sell out for the run, go man-to-man in pass coverage, force them to throw. UK is not all that on offense. Snell is also kind of a puss if he gets hit a lot. He is starting to wear down. Having nearly 700 carries will do that. You have to contain their 2 linebackers....Allen and the other one....I think his first name is Cash. They can hurt you on defense. They blitz a lot. It was a problem for Drew Lock, but they never got to Fromm last week. UGA also torched them for 330 yards on the ground. Fromm really didn't have to throw much.

Make their QB, I forgot his name, throw for every play they get! Blitz the heck out of them and see what happens. It will take turnovers and a couple of scores on Defense to beat them, but we can stop their offense if we stop Snell.

I agree with what others have said. Stack the box and force them to pass. If we do that and can somehow muster 17 or 21 points we might pull it out. But that’s a low probability

Man on the corners, spy on the QB, everyone else to the runningback. They'd have to prove to me they could throw it over me or to open TE's before i changed it.
