I would be saying, we should have fired fulmer and hired Lane Kiffin.

Thank God, this is what happened

I'd not want to be playing him when he has all his players

Exactly. I would honestly be thinking I wish we had a coach that could put a staff together like that and recruit good players and not be satisfied with anything less than winning every game they play. The way it is...I am very glad he is our coach and he has given a lifetime vol fan something to be excited about again. He has been called a lot of things lately by a lot of different people but I'm very glad that CLK is called one thing by whoever you are and thats the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers.

I would be thinking, man he's getting that crappy Bengal Tiger program revitalized. We better be careful.

Same as I feel about Spurrier. Would love to have him and hate playing him.

My thoughts exactly. I have said it before. If we would have had Spurrier in his prime as coach I would have thought he was a god.

You have to excuse some of us but we have been dealing FL guys all week. We're just a bit testy! Hopefully they are starting to go fill up their love TB and UM on the Wildcat site.

I have a close friend who posts here who called Les Miles a jerk...he then immediately said that we need someone, like Miles, who isn't afraid of being arrogant and pissing people off. Well, we've got that now.

I'd imagine that I'd feel about the same way he did if CLK had landed in the SEC (somewhere other than UT).

I'd love to hate him...but respect him at the same time....if that makes a lick of sense.

Really good question, though.

Give the rest of the SEC in general, and us Gators in particular, some time on the last part of that. The harsh truth is that until he wins some SEC games and challenges for a spot in the SECCG, that's going to be tough to come by. I'd say you are well on your way back to that, but he's going to have to earn it on the field, not on ESPN.

Right now, I would take just about any Head Coach, most coordinators, and some position coaches in the SEC before I take Spurrier. He is the pits.

Depends on what staff he has. I haven't seen anything special about CLK yet other than his ability to hire a great staff and recruit. And his ability to recruit is probably because of the staff. Now, all of this may end up being what makes him a very good coach. But, as far as this season goes, nothing special. Blew out WKU, lost to UCLA when we should have won and kept the score close on Florida but never really threatened for the win. The credit for Saturday should go to Monte and the defensive staff. I know the offense's hands are tied to a certain degree because of the QB situation, that's why if CLK was a stock, I'd label him as "hold". Not buying or selling just yet. When he gets his players in place, then we can judge him.

He is the pits now, but I would've taken him back in the 90's. People love to hate Spurrier, but I always thought he was funny and an innovative coach. USCjr. just can't get the type of talent that he needs, and I honestly think he's not into it like he once was. But, make no mistake about it, I would've taken Spurrier over Fulmer every time. He owned Fulmer in every way.

They are both real football coaches. I think we are very fortunate to get Kiffin. There was a reason that Al Davis hired him in the first place.
