How will we do next year?

I will only comment on the bama game...I beleive the VOLs and VOL Nation fans will make Neyland an unbelievable venue at next years game. I do not think saban and his crew will stand up under the heat we will all bring to this particular game. My concern is our guys being too hyped up. I am looking for tickets as we speak cause I want to be there when saban goes down, and see his face as he walks off the field!!! GO VOLS ( and as the old man said in the movie Red Dawn, "Revenge me!"

Exactly, we've blown them our 2 years straight. They will be coming for blood...AND they will be loaded next year if all goes well for them.

They will certainly be loaded with talent but they also have a very difficult schedule..... @AU, @LSU, @Ariz St, @SC, BAMA, TN and FL (Jville).....

IMO, The key to their season will be getting off to a good start. Otherwise, with all the "love" they will be getting, they could be a prime candidate for a disappointing season if they lose early...... Remember 2005???

We'll win all four non-conference games, if we don't then we will have gotten badly out-coached (which has happened to Phil before). We're superior to all four of those lower tier teams. The UCLA game will be a somewhat challenge but there offense is so bad even Chavis can find away to stop it.

As far as SEC here is my predictions 5-3.

5-3 = if we're lucky, 4-4 more than likely, easily can be 3-5. We'll be out-coached in a few of the games, it will all come down to if our talent can overcome the brains of some of the top coaches in the Country.

Florida - loss, Phil can't beat Meyer 0-3, Meyer is just flat out better and has very good talent to go with it. Coach John "Chief" Chavis has no answer for Tebow (not many teams do to his defense) only physical defenses can stop him (like Auburn did this year). We're no-where near a physical "D" anymore. We'll be out-coached badly against a team that has equal if not more talent than us - another words, we're in trouble again.

Georgia - loss, Phil is 3-4 v/s Richt, Georgia returns a vert talented team and will find away to beat Phil's Vols. Richt now has a two game losing streak to Phil, he'll pour it all out for this one next year in Athens and out-coach Phil as he did in '01.

Kentucky - win (should have them out-talented again)

Vandy - win (same as Ky)

South Carolina - win?? (we can easily lose this game), SC will be much better next year especially w/ new DC they got, he's pretty good. Spurrier wil lbe ready for Phil, its his first two game losing streak v/s the coach he used to OWN. Dangerous game, we'll need some breaks..

Auburn - loss (Tubbs will find away to beat Phillip). AU plays very good "D" and w/ new offense they'll be in good shape. I can't see us winning this one (but hope I'm wrong). AU has beat us the last few times...

Alabama - win?? (another coach that has Phil's #). I say if we lose to 'Bama again next year just ask Phil to step back and give someone else a chance. This is another danger game, we'll be out-coached no question but can our superior talent overcome that --- time will tell. In two years they'll have us out-talented w/ all the top notch recruiting classes and we will really be in trouble (kinda like we are v/s Fla currently).

Miss St - win (if we lose this one fire the whole staff)

My guess is 9-3 if Phil hires a good OC and has some luck next year. Very possible we'll go 7-5 or 8-4, I say if we do Phil will be asked to step down as he would have been this year if not for the second half surge...

We will lose to Florida, Alabama, Georgia and somebody else and nothing will change. Like the movie Groundhog's Day,UT fans will keep waking up on New Years playing in Outhouse, Cotton, or Capital One Bowl and ,except Volunteer Hillbilly and myself, will be content.:banghead2:

I can't take it anymore!!!:fool:

take the last ten seasons....shake em up in a bag and pull one out....who knows....you might get lucky! But my guess is we won't be as good as 98 or as bad as 05.

UT shocks the world next season and wins the SEC, plays in the Sugar Bowl with only 2 losses, and blows out some big 10 team to finish in the top 5!!! Losses only to Florida and Alabama.

In other words you are saying Florida will have three conference losses next year!

I agree here...I think everybody is overlooking the auburn game. We'll probably beat bama, but lose to fla., ga., and aub.

Florida's defense will be way down. UF loses to Georgia, LSU and at Arkansas. Tebow doesn't play D.

Why would their defense be worse than this year? How are they going to lose a McFaddenless Arkansas. Florida will be outstanding next year.

There is quite a bit of wishful thinking when it comes to Florida. The spread can't work. Urban will suck when Zook's players leave. Tebow can't throw. The defense is too young. Bla, bla, bla. Anything to deny the fact that the second coming of Spurrier's Gators is here.

I think Meyer's Gators will eclipse what Spurrier did at UF. Remind me again what Spurrier has done at USC that Lou didn't do there. I know he beat UT and a few other big games, but how have their records compared? Bowl games, etc as well.

I think you judge Spurrier the next two seasons, when you're talking over a new program and implementing a completely different type scheme sometimes it takes unil those left over players leave until you get "your" players in there to execute. This will be year 4 for S.S. - I think the next two seasons defines what he does at USC. They have definitely recruited better the last couple seasons, I see them being in the mix the next few years, I do think Fla & Ga is a notch ahead in talent but he should about be caught up w/ Phil and most of the SEC.
