Again, I think a much closer, grinded-out win may serve us better over the course of the season than another hoot & holler blowout. I just wanna win.

Kind of like the game of golf, "Its not how you drive its how you arrive".Getting off to a good start dont hurt either, this is going to be a suprise year for the Vols, well for some not for me. This is Cuts second year back and I feel the difference will be Cut and Chief feeding off each other just like the old days.

If we beat Cal, we should be right around 11-1 (with a loss to Florida or Arkansas)

If we lose the opener to Cal, I think we will be no better than 9-3

You're probably right...but Teddy has made it impossible for me to enjoy anything but a blowout

I agree 100%. I even think if we beat Cal, there's no reason we can't go undefeated...IMO!

This is exactly what could happen. So Miss will be a tough W but we are at home,Fl on the road; the week before watch if you can the Troy game these are giant killers and will give the Gators all they want, have two of the best pass rushers in football watch with enjoyment Tebow on his back side quite a few times in that game.

It is critical that we start well and STAY HEALTHY! It just seems that we haven't be firing on all cylinders the last couple of years due to injuries. If we can stay healthy, we'll do well.

You guys need to substantially reduce your Kool-Aid consumption.

I'm thinking we win the SEC east this year, but beyond that I dunno depends on who comes out of the west, I'll be rooting for LSU to pin losses on UF and USC though just to help things along

We loose to Cal, Florida, and Bama for sure. I think we will have a 6 loss season under Fulmer. Anything better is just a bonus.

Wins: Southern Miss, Florida, Arkansas State, Miss State, Alabama, Louisiana-Lafayette, Arkansas, Vandy & Kentucky
Losses: Cal, Georgia and South Carolina

If this prediction holds up then I would also predict that we would play in the SEC Championship game. If the losses all come in the SEC or to Florida then I doubt that 3 losses would hold up.

Hard to see any SECE team without at least one conference loss. Two losses and you probably win the SECE. I agree that if you have three losses and one is to Florida, then its tough to envision UT at the top of the SECE standings come December1.
