How will the South Carolina game go?

Hopefully, the Vols embody the maxims and depart Columbia with a convincing victory.

Will be attending the game with a USC bball alum. Sitting in the Champions Club for the game. Stoked.

Im going 23-10 UT

This game has been so close for years now. I do hope our defense gets a little healthy before then. Also hope we do not make Perry Orth look like a Heisman candidate. I do like that Jon Kelly will get more touches this game! Vols 27 Cocks-16

VOLS will give a beat down...They still remember MUSHCHAMP running his mouth while he was at florida...WE WILL step on their throats and choke the life out of them...I see us hanging 50+ on them..I see no backing down after we get up 3 scores....IT IS PEDAL TO THE MEDAL time....GBO

We have played them close every year since 2011, when USCjr. was heavily more talented than us (especially 2013). Pharoh Cooper almost single-handedly beat us two years ago. We should have lost to them last year, even with superior talent. This game is always strange. We need to be healthy.

I see it one of two ways:

1. We play like we did vs App St. and Ohio. Struggle, and only win by one score or even lose and end up right where we were last year. (Literally- see 2015 USCe game)

2. We come out pissed and (relative to our situation) healthy. We blow the doors off of South Carolina at their house and get our momentum back to run the table to finish off the year.

Which one do you guys think happens?
They will score, we will score, but at the end, the team with the most points will win, that's how I see it going..

Just like our GA games the S Car games are usually close. Hopefully this one goes our way again.

hopefully UT gets the sugar bowl against baylor or OU--I'm ready for some hard partying in the Big Easy, pounding down hurricanes, and loading up on crawfish etoufee, fried shrimp, red beans and rice, gumbo, and beignets!!!

If there's one thing I will say, it's when Jones has time to prepare or a bye week before the next opponent, our team always seems to come out ready. I don't think USC has the firepower on either side of the ball to make this close, but we will see.

Now that's a plan I can vote for! A little pay back for Big Game Bob and the boys to start the New Year would be sweet as well. GBO

You think the players remember that? Or do you? I don't think they have a clue he even said it.

It will be a tight game just like last yr when Tennessee should have steamrolled them in Neyland.

It could go several ways. Ut has shown no consistency in any area defense or offense. Combined with the injuries makes them totally unpredictable. I would not be surprised if they blew them away or lost the game by 14.

This team needs to find their identity. Who is Team 120?

It's been a mixed bag so far. AppSt and Ohio were "WTF's"; VaTech was a "there we are"; UF was a gutsy comeback, and UGA was the Mother Of All Hail Mary's; TXAM, in the end, looked a lot like one they let get away; and Bama was just a beatdown, plain and simple.

Injuries have played a huge role, but so has coaching and play calling. I dubbed them the "Cardiac Vols" a while back, and up until the Bama game, that's exactly what they were. Helluva team...once you put them 14 down.

7 down, 5 to go. This can be a 10-2 team, or another 2015. All of the remaining games are winnable, and 3 of them are very loseable. If we can't get healthy on defense, then we have to at least get better. Same for the OL. Dobbs needs to make good decisions, and the horizontal pass for a 2 yard loss needs to be a thing of the past. Same for the predictable calls on first down. Mike...you listening?

Stop playing "rope-a-dope" until you're in a two touchdown or more hole. Come out of the locker room like you own the place...and then own the game. Play your "14 down" game from the start, and try life from the 14 up side. Trust me, it's a lot easier to make that 3rd and 5 call when you can afford to be wrong.

Do that, and you get another shot at Bama (or TXAM) in Atlanta. Worry about that part of it later.

For now, just work on finding your identity, and then take care of your business, one game at a time.

Go Vols.

This is my first time posting, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I'll be traveling to the game in Columbia next weekend and wanted to see if any fellow Vols know good places to park/tailgate. Thanks for the help!

Vols win a close one at the end: 24-21. Vols need to get up 10-14 early but won't happen!😮😧

Haven't tailgated there in years, like since I was in middle school. But my USCe side of the family would always tailgate at the Farmers Market. Not sure if it's even there anymore though.

Hurd with over 200 yards rushing and every thread talking about how great of a back Hurd is. Dormady with more passing yards than Dobbs because thru 2 quarters, every time Dobbs hands the ball off to Hurd, he breaks one loose. 3 USCjr fans left in the stadium with 5 minutes to go and 14 reminders about how hard Dobbs class schedule is because the games been over for over 2 hours.

S.C.'s freshman QB is looking very, very good. Even with pressure in his face. Hope DB is hungry for this one.
