I cannot believe Janzen Jackson had an interview this week and said he had learned from his mistake  . Nukeese just seems to have mental problems. Mike Edwards had a bright future. What is wrong with these people. We don't need them on the team. Nukeese can be replaced and I honestly think Jackson can be replaced. With that said, I don't think this will effect our ability to win a game.

However, how do you guys think this will hurt us in the short term and long term if at all? Will it hurt recruiting? Will anyone decommit because of it? Or will it just open up opportunities? What do you all think?

It could actually HELP recruiting if it is handled right. Parents want to see a coach who tolerates no BS from his players. Plus it opens up slots for incoming freshmen.

As far as Saturday? I think it galvanizes us. EB will pull the D together and with the personality of the coaches, I think we will come out in a "us against the world" mentality.

In the short term we obviously loose all focus and have to suddenly change a game plan to the extent it included Jackson and Richardson. Long term I think we recover.

i don't think it will hurt in recruiting much, especially when we get rid of these three morons... If it does it might be from the same type of players that we don't need on this team anyways

If Kiffin goes ahead and promptly dismisses them (i.e. today), we might be able to spin it into a disciplined coach, but it's still a tough sell.

If he waits around any longer, it only makes the situation much, much worse.

The only way this incident helps us at all is it will serve to excise these team cancers far more quickly than otherwise

Apparently Nuke didn't want to be here anyway...I say hit the road back to Pahokee...They all three can be replaced but Jackson will be tough to replace in a week....Does this mean they may put EB back there in his spot this week until he gets someone in practice that can replace JJ? As far as the gameplan, I would say it will be tougher to rethink the defensive gameplan than the offensive game plan because Nuke doesn't see the field near as much as JJ does

Got to be today, I agree. Wish he would do it in the next couple hours.

I don't think it hurts recruiting, but LV or SAB could answer that question better than I. What I'm hoping happens for this Saturday is the same thing that happened for the UGA game when Warren was dismissed. The team seemed to come together and close ranks and the result......well is evident.

Its a bad situation losing 3 really talented players and I hate to see them make the decisions they did last night. But there was University of Tennessee football before these 3 guys came to campus and there will be University of Tennessee football after these 3 guys are sitting in jail. And hey remember how we've played since we dismissed brandon warren maybe we get that times 3 this time. Ok I know it hurts losing these 3 a lot more than brandon warren but just trying to make everyone fill better.

Jackson will be missed on the field. richardson really hasn't done too much and I think Moore and Jones should be able to pick up the slack. Even Teague can help. And Who was the other guy?

They have all just pissed their lives away.- wait - If they were wholesome, upstanding citizens they never would have done what they did in the first place.

They won't be missed for long.

Depth is the problem at this point. JJ did not play last week so the starting 11 are in place. After those 11 it is open to question. I agree, Nuke was not a key player at this point. They gave him "his shot" this past week and look how he repays the staff and team.

It just depends how long this stays in the news. Nuke and Mike are done and going to Jail. JJ well I think he is done but facts still need to come out. If this stays in the news long it could really hurt. That is why I think he cuts JJ right off not just a suspension. If he is suspended he is still on the team and ESPN will cover the legal play out in detail. If all are off team then it is not really a story after this week. We are lucky Ole Miss game is early this week very lucky. Hate for this to be covered in prime time.

Hamilton and Kiffin can spin it as 3 rogue players and it should not hurt in the long term. But, they need to bring in some good PR people to say the right things.

I disagree about dismissing them right away. Maybe Richardson and Edwards but from what I hear on ESPN JJ didn't actually do anything but encourage them to get back in the car. I am not defending him at all but would hold off on dismissing him before hearing his part. For sure he should be suspended immediately pending further investigation. Either way I believe we will be okay this weekend. I don't believe there is a stronger team in the conference right now than the VOLS!!!

I predict we come out on fire this weekend. I am telling you...relax...we will be ready Saturday. Too good of a staff to not have this team motivated and prepared. It's not like Eugene Robinson and the night BEFORE the game.

I don't believe it hurts us at all. Remember we still got LIL WAYNE! He's sure to bring us some 5 stars! What a crock.
