How will Team 120 finish this season?

How does it all play out?

I hope the situation today is similar to the way the team responded after the Arkansas loss last year. Losing to UK and VU will be painful, and I fear nothing of note will change even if they lose those two games. After 8 games of more or less lackadaisical play, it's hard to imagine they will come out guns blazing for the final four playing for an ok to decent bowl. Here's to hoping for a 9-3 regular season. I really hate Vanderbilt.

Sure.

Well, first consider it depends on how one defines a "special" year.

But, alas, for me it would be winning out to finish 9-3 and either;

A) Florida loses to both Arkansas and LSU, which subsequently propels UT into the SECCG. From there, we can finish anywhere from 9-5 to 11-3. Finishing 10-4 or 11-3 would be special for me in this scenario.

or

B) Beating a top 10-15 opponent in our bowl game (with no SECCG appearance) to finish 10-3. Our first 10 win season in 10 years.

ok..tks f the response..no scenario below winning secc and bowl game would qualify as special for me..so that is where we disagree.

Don't get me wrong though, I think Tennessee is absolutely a place where championships should be expected on at least a semi-routine basis.

I never would've thought that the season we beat the Gators we would also be enjoying a team wide mental breakdown. CBJ this is unacceptable, UTK administrative officials this is unacceptable. This is why you watch college football analytical shows and they smile and laugh at the Vols regardless of record. This is why Tennessee has no chance at credibility. I'd like to say I'm done with em and start following a team that is managed consistently and maturely, but I love the big orange. It's embarrassing explaining to friends the train wreck this football teams management is. Underwhelming to ridiculous to devastating.

I think the team and staff rally around everyone still in that locker room and take care of business the rest of the way.

If they continue to play like they have for the entire season we are going to lose to Kentucky and Vandy. I voted 2-2. Hoping for 4-0 but that's all you can do at this point. Hope for the best.

I suspect we win out because we have more talent and are supposed to.
Volnation will do a complete 180 singing praises that butch is really a savior.

The pied piper will have pulled of his Jedi mind trick again by winning games he was supposed to win

With Hurd gone and Kamara out the Vols finish 7-5 and lose to Vandy and Kentucky

I'd bet we see a renewed sense of urgency and focus from the team. There are plenty of players that WILL NOT quit and will bust their butts to show the others who have what they're made of.

Usually see a renewed enthusiasm when someone leaves or is replaced. Hope this happens with the Hurd situation. I will NEVER quit supporting the VOLS. I hope y'all are all with me!

Even if we finish 7-5, the sunshine pumpers will call it a "special" season even though:
1) we didn't meet our goals
2) we lost to USCjr
3) we would have lost to Vandy and Kensucky
