How will Pruitt stop Trask

Kentucky truly made him look great. From the first play he came in they only brought or got pressure 3 times. In those 3 passes 2 were almost intercepted and one was way off incomplete. He isn't nearly as fast as Franks. We have a new staff and their main thing is D, Kentucky laid the blueprint of what not to do. I doubt this red shirt junior can process the speed of the game under pressure as good as Franks or he would have already played more long before now. I think we will have a good defensive gameplan. our own offense must play good for us to win. We have to be able to run some but we also have to make some plays vertically. We have big recievers and their cb's aren't all world like hype them. In fact what they do is hold and grab, especially Wilson. Get JJ involved early, I don't think they got anybody that can cover him but we also have to get Palmer,DWA and our Rb involved in the passing game as well. Put Chandler and Gray in the game at the same time and have 1 run the wheel route everytime even if it doesn't go there. Got to show them some looks they haven't seen and EXECUTE them. GBO!!!!!
YEAH, that execute thing is the part that worries me.
GBO!!

If we can get some pressure on Trask and can run the football...we stand a good chance.

Line of scrimmage will determine this game...like most.

You attack him the same way you do any pocket passer. Pressure in his face. Shoot the A gaps all day.

Do you guys see any improvement in our defensive line though? I want to believe they can pressure Task and this Gator O-line is not great but I just doubt we can sustain the type of pressure we need to without giving up big plays.

There are numerous examples of first time QB’s looking great in their first game and then falling apart when they play against a team that has a week to prepare. I would not expect Trask to look the same against UT that he looked against Kentucky. I think UT wins, and Trask looks like the second stringer he is.

And if Trask isn't doing good, Mullen will pull him and insert Jones, who is a much better runner than Trask.

Here is a good breakdown of Trasks play during the U.K. game. It looks like he played really well. Hope Pruitt can come up with something to get him out of his comfort zone. He looks better than Franks.

Can’t be possible, veteran coach like Mullen see’s them everyday in practice, couldn’t be possible he went with the wrong QB.
If you’ve learned anything from Volnation you should know this🤣🤣

Hit him hard and hit him early and often. Don’t let the kid get comfortable. He is a better fit for that offense than Franks was. We just can’t do more to beat ourselves than they do to beat us. Florida is a very beatable opponent. If the JG that showed up to play Auburn last year shows up or Kentucky for that matter, we can win that game. Kentucky sat back and didn’t really come after him much the other night once he came in the game. He always had time and seemed like Kentucky just say back and let them do what they wanted. Don’t think Pruitt is going to let him get comfortable.

I know of one sure way Pruitt can stop Trask. By walking up and shaking his hand after the game. There is one!

Am I right to assume that we will get #20 Bryce Thompson at practice and in this game on Saturday? That would be really nice.

Every thing I’ve heard is that Pruitt won’t play him until after his court date which is after this game
