The season starts in one week, so I wanted to ask Vol fans about how they see Coach Dooley's career as Vol Coach turning out.

Would love to see a NC, and i think hes capable, but in all honesty, i dunno. I went with the safe pick, in the middle

Call me crazy....but I picked Saban/Meyer....more extreme hope than anything that it turns out that way

That's where I went and I honestly hope that it happens. I think it will if the idiotic portion of our fan base will leave him alone and let him get his program in here.

I'm not worried about Dooley...more worried about his assistants and if they stay long enough to get team chemistry. If the assistants stay long enough he will at least win a couple SEC Championships

I think that Dooley is our Ron Zook. Doesn't win enough games to keep his job, but he will leave the program in much better shape than he found it in for our next coach. Just my opinion and I hope that I am wrong.

I think he will be gone in about five years after he helps rebuild the program, which I would not be upset about. But on a lighter note

That and let's say if Dooley is successful, how great is he at replacing his assistants. Right now I love the staff he has, but will I like the next wave of guys he brings in.

He wins. Runs off all the whiners. Retires from UT in 2030 after his third NC!

I would assume everyone would want that to happen...we don't need anymore turnover in our program...

Thank you to the higher beings on volnation for fixing my mistake.

I didn't vote. I think it will be somewhere in between Tuberville/Richt and Saban/Meyer. I'll have to see at least the Oregon game and where recruiting is mid season before I decide between the two.

Gut feeling, though. I think he has the potential to be a Saban/Meyer type.

I would be happy with a Mark Richt scenario, but having one great season where we have a legit shot. like fulmer in early late 90s early 2000s

It's hard to say until we see him coach some games, but I expect a Zook/Shula situation. I hope it's not the last option, and I think it shouldn't be...I think he can probably win enough games to allow not overly-inhibit what should be a decent recruiting team.

Leaving the program better than he found it is not saying much. I believe he will do that and win some SEC Championships. I don't know if he will win NCs, but has a decent chance if he wins SEC Championships.
