Another Vol trapped in Georgia...

My son is almost 7 and we play the "spot the license plate/decal" game by shouting "GO VOLS!" whenever we see one. Surprisingly, there are a lot of them in our area (we probably see at least 1-2 every day, sometimes more). He also likes to draw pictures, although his understanding of the rules is not very good (his last picture a couple weeks before the UGA game had us winning 25-1).

I am pretty sure I heard him mumbling something the other day that sounded suspiciously like "put Foster on the bench". :whistling: It's not my general opinion, but something like that MIGHT have slipped out of my mouth in the heat of the moment a few weeks ago during a game (Auburn, I think). I might need to tone down my "cheering" just a little bit. :clap:

rbird- I see Vols stuff on cars all the time too! We have a lot of fans, here. I bet UGA fans are, like, smug every time they pass us, now they that finally beat us again. It's ok, though. Hopefully, things will begin to look up soon!:rolleyes:

My grandson will be four next month. I brought him with me to the UAB game and when we touched down in Nashville, he looked out the window of the plane and said, "Hey, this is not Tennessee!" I said yes, it is and he said, "No it's not. There's no football here!"
People in the plane cracked up laughing.

He also knows the chorus of Rocky Top. And yes, he woos.

My son is in kindergarten and for picture day last week he decided he wanted to wear his Tennessee tie! His parapro is also a huge fan! When he was very small he used to tell me he was gonna play "pootball" for Tennessee!

My 3 year old sees anything orange and calls it "Tennessee ball". We were at a Mexican restaurant on Sunday and he took the little toothpick flag off the plate and started chanting, "Go Big Orange!"

I'd say I have taught mine pretty well, so far! How 'bout y'all?

When mine was 1yo, we taught him to throw his arms up every time he heard "Touchdown Tennessee" on the TV.

He's 6 now... aside from making sure to take his Tennessee Football with him when we visit with friends, we made sure to teach him to tell people that he loves Tennessee Football and hates Alabama and Georgia.

since my 12yr old was born I have taught her Tn is best football team and Peyton Manning is the greatest QB of all time.you can ask her still and she says P.Manning lol. Gameday is all orange and white.

It's a thought. I could run over Bevo with the car-accidentally.

We have a rule that both flags are put out on Saturday gamedays. Whomever wins that day, gets to keep the flag out on Sunday. It's been some somber Sundays of late.

At least the dog wears a Tennessee collar, that's one thing that will never change.

Ok, so this morning went to Wal-Mart to get a few things and I was sitting in the car with Isaac, my 3 year old, waiting for him to finish is chicken minis. He points to the building and says, "Look, mommy! It's Tennessee!" I am looking and I don't see any orange or football anything..finally I figured out he was pointing to the big "T" at the end of "mart". Sigh..good boy! We saw a pair of orange shorts and he, again, began to chant "Go Big Orange!" I'm thinkin', "You rock, kid!":rock:

AK, you are doing a great job with your son! Awesome mom! My wife and I do not have any kids at the moment, just got married in June, but I have won her over with UT football so hopefully when we have kids we can double team them with UT sports. GO VOLS!
