I got married the day of the Georgia game in 2004, in part because it was an away game that week. I also tried to convince my wife that our anniversary was the day of the Georgia game in any given year instead of October 9 because it’d be easier to remember, but she wasn’t having it 😂

On defense, UGA has multiple elite linebackers. They are not up to their lofty standards in the defensive line. Secondary is stout again, particularly @ safety.
On offense, they're not overwhelming, by any sense of the word. At any spot. Qb is on his first road game. And first SEC game as a starter.

Yes they are "better", and they should win. But we have out shot. Gotta get out early and get a score up. Harder to come from behind against that defense. GoVols 🍊

I am feeling pretty optimistic but not having Gibson and McCoy is huge. If our secondary can't stick with their TE/WRs, we could have major issues. Our offense will sputter a little just because Georgia's defense is so good but I think they can get points. We just need to keep Georgia really down on points. I think we need to keep Georgia at or below 20 to have a chance to win.

Low scoring game likely favors Georgia.

While it is true that Georgia was that one team, they beat a 3 loss Tennessee team that was banged up and the fanbase had kind of given up on. Georgia hasn't caught anything close to what 2022 Alabama ran into with Tennessee in Neyland. I think they might finally get that this Saturday.

They can definitely still win but Georgia hasn't really ran into the true Neyland gauntlet yet. I think Georgia is very good, the reason I am more optimistic about Tennessee this year is not necessarily that I think Georgia is down, it is that Tennessee looks better than I expected. I had this as an easy win for Georgia going into the season (although the Neyland thing was int he back of my mind as a potential risk for Georgia). I picked all 16 SEC teams and had Georgia at 12-0. I did think a little about Tennessee but went with Tennessee was going to be average and Smart always gets up for Florida, Tennessee, etc. mentality.

Today was an awful day. Puts this game (football as a whole) in perspective and has definitely made me less interested/excited. Weird feeling… just sad

This world needs more love and kindness

Bryce Young and his individual greatness kept Alabama from being 🛥 🏁 right out of Neyland back in 2022. Ole Gunner had better be ready to do the same Saturday.

My neighbor UGA grad never once has congratulated me or said good game nothing about the Vols but I do the opposite. I don't know if its because we pounded them so bad when he was in school there or he's just. Not trying to be rude but no longer trust anything coming out of a Georgia fans mouth, I tried for 25 years.

Tennessee needs to stop the run which is my biggest concern with our injuries. We also need to protect Aguilar at QB which has not happened well against UGA under Heupel.
