How we feeling?

Everyone will be safe ant the game unless any of the dogs decide to drive up to Knoxville. Two deaths and multiple super speeding tickets over the past 5 years and nobody gets punished if you are on the team.
I live here in GA where the law is a two tier system. Bulldog players and everyone else.
Well Jalen Carter proved he was actually a good guy by getting kicked out of the game this week before the first play - for spitting on another player. Now that's a guy you can root for.
Throw in Carson Beck and Stetson Bennett.......................

I'm usually thinking with emotion more than logic for games like this. Not this time. I'm not gonna "believe" and I'm not gonna go all Debbie Downer either. Just using logic from what I've seen so far , I don't see us winning this. I think Georgia's just too deep , and considering our key pieces being out . It's ok. I never expected a big year and was fired up to see us play with a pulse the 1st 2 games . We won't see the same sluggish Georgia team that bumbled against Pee .

We just bout as deep as they r now there defensive line is young and our offense line is playing great… we finally got a qb that can win us a game have to… they won’t stop our rushing attack … slow it down little …. Vols 24 Dawgs 14

Hope all has been well. Your boy's are looking good so far and I'm more nervous than a politician in a lie detector test. Our run game looks good but downfield throws/reads look shaky. Your new qb is an upgrade and the d looks improved. How are you all feeling? Go Dawgs!
Still feeling we are a 9 win team

Everyone is being gracious to this Buttsmehre fan, and I guess that is a testament to the hospitality and grace of Tennessee fans. If you want a dose of reality, however.....

I usually don't venture over to opposing boards, but I went over to the uga 24/7 football board. Buttsmehre fans act with the grace and dignity we expect of the worst fanbase in sports. I venture a guess that if the Tennessee equivalent of this uga fan posted anything other than 'uga is great' on their board, they would attack in droves. It's just a different mindset. They have no doubt about this game, and give Tennessee no credit for being anything other than horrible and overrated. It's laughable.

That said, politeness is always best - so keep it up, I suppose. Just don't ever expect anything other than whinny fans with a constant need for affirmation when it comes to georgia fans. There are rare exceptions, and this guy who started this thread seems to fit that.

I like the enthusiasm, but we are nowhere close to their depth.

A little better. But to be the man... you got to beat the man.

Talent is closer than it was but UGA still has a bit more. UT's D hasn't been as good as expected even factoring in injuries. Your O and according to some your OL have not been as good as expected. Nico was frustrating because he was hesitant. Aguilar... isn't hesitant. He even borders on reckless at times.

I would feel worse if UGA's O hadn't struggled against an FCS D and a much less than "stellar" Marshall D.

I would feel better if the second half of Syracuse hadn't happened to UT's D and if I wasn't nervous that some of JA's throws that he's gotten away with won't be the same against a secondary like yours.

Just run slants/throw over the middle and you'll be fine.

Holy cow—THIS! Finally, someone dares to mention our eternal Achilles Heel. Think we’re baiting you, Dawgs? Just watch the film for the past 4-5 years. If anything is money against our D, it’s this…especially if it’s third and long for a first down.

We are absolutely on par with Georgia in terms of quality depth. I think most of you think the only thing that factors into the quality of a roster is initial recruiting rankings. Those rankings are HIGHLY misleading in the age of the portal. It's about retention and how well you fill holes in the portal. Tennessee has been elite at that. Why did Georgia not go in the portal and get a QB?

With all due respect, how can it be a beatdown and us also having a chance for the upset after keeping it close for 4 qtr?
Kinda like last year honestly. Tight going into the 4th but UGA tightens up on D and locks us down. That was a beat down after looking at the film and seeing how bad our OL got wooped in the second half.

Or 22 when the entire world knew they were going to win but it was “close”

What's the mood around Gunner in Dawg Land?
I like the kid. I think he is has been ultra conservative and maybe a little shell shocked from his first two games being Texas and Norte Dame. His feet have been great but he rarely makes it past the second read before bailing on the play ( granted our first two opponents have played mostly cover 3 while stunting the line). Some Georgia fans would rather see him rip balls into a small window instead of checking down. I however am good with 2-0 and 0 interceptions. I would like to see him trust his arm in those situations but I’ll take a check down and 6 yards. Thanks for asking

Easy. They think if it’s past 15 yards, he can’t throw the football. I have read that over and over and a friend at work said the same thing today. He himself is worried about the game just like me. Says he will be hammered drunk by 5pm lol
Kid has an arm and elite talent. Anyone that says different dont know ball. He just seems gun shy.

I appreciate the hospitality. This board has treated me great for 20+ years. Sorry for your experiences but my dad taught me how to be a guest in someone else’s house.

They aren’t saying he can’t throw the ball, just isn’t hitting them. He knows ball pretty well and pretty level headed GA fan. We talk a lot of ball all year about our teams and others. I guess that’s just his opinion like many other GA fans I have read about

Did you watch the first two games? I'm assuming you didn't because it's impossible to watch those games and think this is the same Georgia team we are used to seeing.
Trust me, they are the same team. Spurrier used to always take it easy on the first few cupcakes back in the day and we’d get all excited only to see them play their A game against us. No different with Georgia in the current era.

Hey there, Fade. Good to see that you still lurk. The board has certainly changed a lot since our early days in the mid 2000s. Don't mind some of the rude comments.... they are probably coming from posters that were still in diapers back then.

I'm not as optimistic as some about this one, but I'm ready to get the Georgia monkey off our back. Thanks for always being cordial and honest.

I’d feel better if all the gambling money wasn’t coming in for Tennessee. Feels like UGA is being disrespected. This concerns me.

Also concerned that UGA hasn’t shown anything worth seeing on film and our defense hasn’t been as good as it was last year.

But I like our OL and physical run game. Think we may actually be able to run the ball enough for PA to be effective. We all know Kirby will trust his corners. Need our young WRs to grow up Saturday.
