I am leery of Georgia. I think everybody has been fooled enough by the same ole "UGA struggling early, they look beatable, etc." Regardless of Stockton not having a stellar start, or even some play calling concerns by Bobo, the Dawgs are still one of the top 5 most talented teams in the nation. Stockton doesn't even have to have his best day to beat us. He just has to play smart, get the ball to his playmakers, and lean on the run game + D which seem good enough to enforce UGA's will on opponents. Defensively, the front 7 is loaded with size, athleticism, and speed. They will cause us a lot of issues for sure. UGA can dink and dunk and get some chunk run plays to grind out the game.
For Tennessee, the keys to winning are OL play and getting our defense off the field on 3rd downs. I think Aguilar has really shown he can work in this system, and the WRs are looking good enough too. However, Aguilar has not really been challenged yet this year as neither Syracuse or ETSU had any pressure on him. UGA will, and we will see if he can successfully work off script or start to look like last year at App St. Defensively, I have a lot of concerns about our DBs. They gave up some chunk plays against Syracuse, and even a few times against ETSU looked out of place. Plus, our DL is already facing injuries, so we are a little softer there than I think we need to be heading into this match up.
For those reasons, I still lean towards UGA playing bully ball and winning this match up. My heart says Vols all the way, but my head says this is shaping up to be another beat down. I do think we keep it tight for 4 quarters and have a realistic chance of pulling the upset.
