There not much film on this years Vols. It's hard to prep for a team with so little film.

I don't expect CJP to sit back and run a base defense.

As long as it's a competitive game, no. WVU is going to be tough and I would hope everyone comes to realize that before the start of the season.

But I will say... If we do lose, it's going to be hilarious seeing all the people who love to complain on here explode in anger and knee-jerk reactions.

Ill be expecting a loss. We are coming off one of the worst seasons in school history, new coach, lost lots of talent....and not much coming back. Not to mention the attitudes of some leftover Jones players. The rest of the fan base will eat humble pie after this game. But hey, go vols(browns)

I'm not drinking the KoolAid yet though. Our offense was pretty good last year and yet we had way too many 3 and outs. Our OLine also failed to open holes for our RBS at times.

I think for us to have a chance we'll have to go hard at Grier, get in his face and knock him down a few times. He's really talented but he can be a turnover machine too. We just need to get him out of his game.

Of course, even if we do, we still have to score points so who the hell knows what's gonna happen there.

I won’t be upset. That game is a toss up in my mind and we probably should lose with how good their offense is.

I won’t be. West Virginia is better than we are. And it will be Pruitt’s first game as HC. I expect to get beat by probably 14

I am numb to losing in football anymore. Honestly, I wouldn't bat an eyelash if we lost to UTEP.

A decade of losing has made my jimmies unrustleable.

We are going to lose this game. We are still allergic to the end zone until otherwise is proven and we're facing one of the better offenses in the country.

I think Pruitt's in-game leadership starts making a difference mid-season. I think these kids currently suffer from some Butch-imparted psychological issues that no amount of practice is going to fix.

I will say this. If we lose to WV, this team will struggle to get 6, which should be the bare minimum expectation for this program

2 things will decide this game for UT. One our pass rush will make our pass defense better no rush, they will score a lot. Qb play, control the clock for their defense is ass and starting a slew of new people and there best lineman have all transferred out and the best linebacker tore acl Going to have to score when the opportunity arises and not all field goals either. If they do that should have a good chance.

Hate to tell you but a loss to wv this yr does not mean we have coaching issues. WV has arguably one of the best, if not the best offenses in college football returning in 2018. We have...question marks. I will be shocked if we keep it close, let alone win. If we win that game, Pruitt deserves a statue outside of Neyland immediately. Sure, coaching makes a huge difference in wins and losses, but it’s not THE difference maker, players are. And from what I watched last year, we’ve got a lot of work to do. Please for the love of nationwide respect don’t let the wv game determine how you feel about this staff. I’m tired of being embarrassed bc of some of the unrealistic fans that follow the team I love. GBO!
