It's obvious the flop is now becoming standard operating procedure for teams. Especially against the 'hurry up offense'. Kiffen got free time outs and substitutions throughout the game. Stunk as a spectator in the stadium and I can only image how painful it was watching on TV.
So what is the rule change that will stop this travesty? I thought maybe keep the player out 3 plays, or a quarter or (fill in the blank), however the coach can put a scrub in to flop and it wouldn't hurt them at all.
I think it should be that if the player can't drag himself to the sideline and play stops, charge the team with a timeout. Now it seems that some teams have legitimate injuries. Is this fair to them? 3 timeouts would burn up pretty fast, so go ahead and give each team 6 timeouts. That should cover it.
Kiffen had 3 timeouts left when I left the stadium. (I thought they would call the game). I didn't learn about the last drive until this morning. Thoughts? One last statement. This is ruining the game. Something has to be done.
