How They See Us

Saying time for a change is one thing. Attacking the guy like he's been attacked by the fan base is quite another. I happen to agree that it was time for a change.

Then why don't you tell us who UT should have hired?

CLK has already proven the amount of power that he has given Coach O. That's the problem I have. He let O run Smith out of town because Smith didn't bow down to him.

Coach O does carry the title of Associate Head Coach. Kiffin trusts him, and so far he hasn't done anything to lose that trust.

Chris Peterson would have been a GREAT hire. Steve Sarkisan would have too.

Peterson i believe just donated about $150,000 to the school out of his pocket. id say he is pretty attached to the school...maybe not?

Kids got into Ole Miss that were not even close to qualifying. Don't be surprised if things start popping up.

there are plenty of kids that have gone thru UT who had no business stepping foot in college (without football). I remember a quote from an asst coach about a player in the 90's "Dear god, if we can keep him eligible for even 2 years it will be a miracle". Of course he was a big part of UT's NC so it didn't really matter to anyone. Turns out it wasn't far off...

Guys, I"m on your side. You act like I'm a Gator fan, or worse a Tide fan. I'm all Vol, why is it so hard to realize that we are going to have some growing pains.

Really? Everyone I've seen on VolNation has predicted a National Championship for 2009. Get over yourself. You're an idiot.

And I have yet to see a single poster claim we stole Channing Fugate from anyone. However, if Lane and company think he can play, I'm glad we got him. As for Jose Jose, I really haven't seen anyone say we stole him from Florida, either. You simply refuse to admit that Florida was even interested in signing him.

Ed Orgeron is going to hurt this program, mark my words. Where there's smoke, there's fire. I know what happened with the Marlon Brown situation and it will only expand as long as he's here. He is not concerned about leaving a legacy. He will earn as much money as he can, and do things by any means necassary. T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

You just know everything. What's it like being omniscient? Who really killed JFK, anyway? What's the deal with Stonehenge?

I also fail to see how Reggie Bush "supposedly" taking money from an agent after he had been at USC for a year has anything to do with Orgeron.
Dude. Ed Orgeron curses. He obviously worships Satan and is actively trying to destroy the University of Tennessee. Hell, he's probably out to take down America, too.

Chris Peterson would have been a GREAT hire. Steve Sarkisan would have too.

Yeah, Sarkisian has proven waaaay more than Kiffin. And Chris Petersen has definitely shown he can hire an elite staff and recruit in the South. Wait. None of those things are true.

Also, you'd think the genius that babbles on about hiring an elite coach (like the guy from Utah, apparently) would want a guy with enough fame to where a football genius like VolMan38 is familiar with the proper spelling of the guy's name.

But think of all the statue of liberty plays Tennessee would have.

Maybe even a hook and lateral?

Nick Saban would collapse in a seizure if Petersen pulled out the statue of liberty. It's the best play in football. Can't stop it.
