Dude, CLK has not coached a game as the head coach of UT. It is not even close to the same thing. The Fulmerites were defending him after a decade of bad coaching. BIG DIFFERENCE.

it doesnt make sense to not leave a legacy. no one will hire him if hes a problem causer or a bad coach. he may not be interested in leaving anytime soon, but its probably in his long term interests. no sense at all...

its not even that its "hate." fulmer won a lot but has been on the decline. its not hate that got him out of office, its that he couldnt produce any longer. it was time for a change. i dont think many could argue that he didnt do a lot for UT. our friend 38 just thinks that because it was time for a change, we all stabbed fulmer in the back...

That was the point I was trying to make (sorry for not clarifying that). I don't think any rational UT fan hates Fulmer as a person, but we do hate being nationally irrelevant for long stretches. The decision to fire Fulmer was strictly business-related, not because of anything personal against him.
