How some of our “fans” look right now

I find it ironic that some fans complain about coaching decisions and the team's performance. The rest of the fans complain about the fans complaining. Everybody wants to get in on the act. It's a toss-up as to who's the most irritating.
I complain about the coaches when they deserve it. But man if doesn’t bug me to no end the criticism that Heupel receives. Has he made some boneheaded decision? Sure.
Has he lost game he should have won? Clearly.
Did he take a 3 and 7 program that was on the brink of generational irrelevance and move it back to a position where it was once again competing with and sometibeating the nation’s top programs? That he did.
A little thankfulness would be a good thing the soul.

it thrills me to no end how people react to other fans. its so so fun to poke that bear and see people here get so bent out of shape over nothing. so much joy it brings me.

the only thing worse than complaining about a team that doesn't care about you is complaining about the fans that complain about the team and I literally die every time it's so funny. so much fun.

Speaking of fans, where in the hell were our fans tonight? I bet there wasn't 1,000 Tennessee fans in the swamp. Pitiful! I know everyone can't make it but dang. UT had to cancel its official gameday tailgate event in Gainesville due to lack of participation I assume. For those of us who were at the game, it was definitely worth the trip!

What does how fans react affect you?
Because their constant sniping and harping must be discouraging to Heupel and to the team. Fan bases that constantly complain have been known to to run coaches off. And believe me that there are a lot of programs looking for a coach right now who would open the checkbook big time to get Heupel away from us.

I actually could hear Rocky Top being sung by people in the stands over the broadcast. Something tells me they weren’t Gator fans. Loved it

I can assure you that the fan forum where people gather to discuss my job performance.....I've never gone there. (There ain't one, but just sayin' if there was)

Or perhaps you could find a team where there are no fans that ever have anything critical whatsoever to say. All sunshine, all the time. Good luck!
I don’t need all sunshine all the time. I just need a fanbase with some perspective and above all a spirit of thankfulness.
This week of all weeks should drive that point home.
There is not an active college football coach I would trade for the one we’ve got right now. The way he handled Nico and Boo. The lack of major scandals and arrests of players. The recruiting classes. A consistently top tier offense. 10 and 11 win seasons.
Do you know how many progiwould kill to be in our position right now?

I think most fans are content with Heupel. The defense is the rub.

What are you talking about?

You could tell there were thousands of Tennessee fans there from looking at the game

I seriously doubt Heupel pays enough attention to it to be discouraged by it. In fact, I believe Heupel has absolutely no feeling towards it

That's great to know. The bulk of Vol fans were near the POTHSL band on the SE side of the stadium. The rest of us fans were scattered around the swamp. After 90% of gator fans left in 4th quarter, it got really quiet in there and you could hear Rocky Top being sung around the stadium. Still only around 1,000 of us Vol fans.

Spirit of thankfulness? Dude’s making 9 million a year. He isn’t doing us a favor.

I hope Heupel and the players have more important things to work on besides reading the comments on this site. Who has opened their checkbook to Heupel? You got any prove??
