How satisfied would be if we go 9-3 with losses to Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama?

Would a loss in a bowl game deflate the success of the regular season?

What are the chances that this could actually happen?

I'll hang up and listen...... GO VOLS!

I think it's safe to say everyone would...except for Dave for some strange reason. I think/hope we win 7 and I don't care where those 7 wins come from. I WILL care next year though.

Beyond satisfied, I’d be beyond thrilled. Bowl game doesn’t and wouldn’t matter to me. Chances it happens are very low.

If we go 9-3 then Pruitt should be SEC Coach of the Year. That would exceed anything Butch Jones did during his FIVE years here in Pruitt's inaugural season. I think the chances of going 9-3 is less than 10% but my heart tells me that schedule (outside of UGA, Bama, and Auburn) is not as barbaric as most believe.

I would be incredibly satisfied. 9-3 this season, with this roster, means we have an incredibly talented coaching staff. Recruiting would see a huge uptick and we would be well on our way to building Tennessee back to where it needs to be.

That said, I think 9-3 is a pretty long shot with our current roster. The talent is here, but these players have suffered through years of Butch Jones development.

9-3 is at the top end of the realistically possible range of outcomes. So yeah, we'd most of us be very satisfied with it.

Now, that's not gonna stop this board from exploding in anger during and after each of those three losses. There will be rabid and repeated cries that WE COULDA SHOULDA WON THAT ONE.

It's just who we are.

But yeah, heh, 9-3 would be a very good outcome in Pruitt's first year. Beating WVa, Florida, South Carolina, Vandy, Kentucky, and Mizzou would be nice.

Best outcome for this team would be 10-2. 9-3 being likely since we have more talent than 9 teams on the schedule(by a rather large margin) and very similar talent to Auburn.

Lol, that aurburn d is loaded. The talent here is nowhere close to Auburn. But I love the optimism. We have no talented depth, that’s our problem. Lose on D linemen and we are hosed

I agree with Auburn’s D being loaded, that’s why that game will be close all the way to the end.

I hope you are right but I don’t see it that way. Like I said, live the optimism. Just don’t see it the same way.

I would take 9-3 with losses to Auburn, Bammer, and ETSU.....that's how much I HATE UGA. GO VOLS!!!

I personally am on the "our roster is better than we think" bandwagon. I could see 8-4, 9-3, etc ...being a reality. Also, is it fair to say that with all of our injuries last year, that alot of guys saw action that normally wouldnt have? SHould have some experience coming back for sure.

Tickled pink, but, if I'm honest, as long as they don't go winless in the SEC again, I'll be happy. It's really sad that the standard is that low, but you don't undo Butch Jones' ****ery in one season, I don't think.

I think it is pretty clear that after the sting of the 3 losses died out, we would be bouncing off the walls and Pruitt would surely win Coach of the Year awards. More than that, I could see us with a Top5 recruiting class going forward and I would be trying to bet the over/under on how many years till we were playing in the NC game.
