Ok as of now Missouri and West Va are in the BCS title game, well if Oklahoma wins the Big 12 and pitt wins the rivalry game with west va next week would this put UGA in the national title game? I know alot has to happen, but with this year who knows? Kinda like in 01 when Nebraska played miami without playin 4 their own conference. Just something for the people 2 think about:peace2:

I wouldn't mind seeing Georgia win the NC, and us win the Sugar Bowl....we could then tell recruits we stomped the National Champions :dance2:

No sir if OU wins the Big 12, & LSU wins the SEC and WVU loses it would be OU or LSU vs OSU.

UGA is out of the BCS title game no matter what.

But you heard it hear first Mizzou had OU beat in Norman the first time, they'll finish the job next week.

Mizzou vs WVU for all the chips....go tigers

For those who wouldn't mind it obviously do not live in Ga like I do and have to hear their crap all the time of how we were just lucky we didnt have to play them later in the season, how stafford is the greatest qb of all time, etc. I have a deep deep hatred for the dawgs and that would be worse case scenario, just more for them to run thier mouths.

Just remind them of the past two scores 51-33 & 35-14.

UGA was 1-3 against the great Erik Ainge and Foster scored 6 tds in those two games, heck he might score 3 or 4 against em next year.

Just saw this thread, so I apologize for repeating myself: No team that fails to win its own conference should play in the NC game, period.....even if that team is from the SEC.

We know that, but that doesn't mean it won't happen....ex. Nebraska in 2001 and Oklahoma in 03 I think

I want Hawaii in there too it is a shame BCS has lost just about all credibility in my book. Ohio State will probably jump WV. WV still needs OK to win Big 12. Either way the two best or most deserving teams in my book will not being playing each other maybe not even one of them in there. It reminds me of pre-BCS years. I am ready for the playoff.

I want Hawaii in the BCS title game. Currently the ONLY undefeated team.

Agreed. Hawaii beat a very good Boise State team today, and they deserve their shot. :good!:

And Boise State has proven that they are a legit team over and over again. They never get the respect they deserve, and yet they continue to crunch teams who show up in their lair, be they from BCS conferences or not. Over the last 6 seasons, Boise State is 68-9. That is a pretty freaking incredible record.

No one has been able to beat Hawaii this year, and frankly, undefeated is undefeated.

F-ing right. In years past it seems going undefeated was almost a prerequisite for the title game. Granted Hawaii still has to beat Washington to remain perfect. I say if they are 12-0, they should get a fair shot. Otherwise the BCS system is completely screwed. If nobody is undefeated and there are several teams with 1 loss.....it's a garbage system. Playoff people.:horse:

Because of Nebraska in 2001, I thought there was a rule created that prevents a team not winning their conference from playing for a national championship.

I'll be the odd man out here, because I believe Hawaii plays one hell of a cream puff schedule. Ohio State's schedule is barely tougher than Hawaii's yet everyone cries (me included) that Ohio State has played a bunch of nobodys and underachievers this year. Other than Boise St, they do not have a tough conference.

Ohio St. is not undefeated, if they were they should be given a chance for the NC.

I know Ohio State is not undefeated. But they're where they are largely due to tradition and a weak conference and weaker OOC games.

If we don't get a playoff after 2 joke teams play for a national title, we'll never get one.

I'll gag if OSU plays for the national title, if for no other reason than their fan base deserves nothing more than repeated kicks to the balls. Hawaii doesn't deserve a shot... not fair to them, but the fact of life is that they play in a weak conference. The non BCS teams need a playoff worse than the BCS teams do - thats the only way they will get a fair shake.

I'm hoping WVU and Missouri win next week and play for all the marbles. Not a real exciting match-up, but given the current landscape it seems the most fair to me.

when you're playing for championships all those previous games don't matter. Just like when we win the SEC will bammer/UF brag about beating the conf champs? I would hope not.
