Here is an inside look as to how Saban “hoards” …

• -How does the Staff convince kids to come into a situation where they are competing with other kids with reputations just as strong?
Saban has updated & revised what worked for him at LSU and incorporated NFL terminology and process to a level not paralleled. Every kid is shown a meticulous Plan which walks them through what they have to do and what UA will do to get them to whatever their stated personal goals are. The written Plans have what the NFL is looking for in their Rookies but for the kids who stress other things whether becoming a Sports Agent (ex.) then their educational path and whatever the University/Program will do to help them accomplish it is detailed and broken down in clear terms including time allocation. Current and former Players all have their individual stories of how annoyed they are with the level of follow-up by GA's and/or Staffers including Saban himself but will almost to a Man say in the Big picture, it's been what's best for them. For instance, you have a kid like Blake Sims who is one of the Teams premier pure athletes that now throwing in physical injury, he may not find his final position until the end of his Bama Career but the kid and family still love Bama because of the personal growth and maturity of the Young Man, not kid.

Sounds like the VFL program. Did Dooley have this same structure at LSU with Saban?

It says he revised what he had working at LSU, so I am sure Dooley has incorporated this into his plan.

It was a program created at LSU while Dooley was the recruiting coordinator. A step by step process individualized.

It also help our new facilities being built the players are seeing plans for.

Why because isn't UT building new facilities as well?

The plan fwiw really gets the parents on board because there is more than football in the plan.

Oh no, not the facilities. Just Bama recruiting in general. But that horse has been beaten to death.

Course, free suits, cars, cash, and a cush job at Mercedes in Tuscaloosa making $50K per year if you "medical redshirt" for the good of the team don't hurt things either. That's really the driving force behind the success.

If you actually believe any program is clean you are only kidding yourself.:)

True, but some are just down right septic.

If UA did the things every rival fan claims to know they did UA would be on probation, bowl bans, reduced scholarship, and hopping for a 6-6 season. Not saying you are implying UA is septic though.:)
