I never once thought Gruden was a legit option before. Times and situation is very different this time.

No one wants Gruden at Tennessee more than I do, but I just refuse to get wrapped up in the hysteria this time around. That being said, I hope you are right.

It was talked about, but more as a pipe dream. When 2010 rolled around, it was talked about for maybe 12 hours and Gruden came out and said no.

As others have said, things this time around are different. One major factor is that Mike Hamilton is not the AD anymore.

Post Fulmer and Kiffin....Gruden or any other "notable coach" would not touch this program.

Even big boy let it be known that he wanted to return to coaching....but only at a major program that can compete at a high level...go figure.

So, haters are hating on CDD...not there yet for me, as I see the weaknesses of this program centered in the secondary ...that apparently cannot be fixed this year.

If CDD survives....he must make changes there (this year would suit me), show some progress this year in the secondary and bring in a new set of secondary coaches. If not I will chime in as well about that new coach....may even plant a tree or two.
