How old were you for your 1st game?

One is 16 months and the other is 3 months so this year wouldn't be a good year. I was thinking maybe when they're 6 and 5 or maybe even the year before

I saw an infant at Ole Miss last year, that was my 7yr old's 1st, they left around Halftime. Her 1st at Neyland was this year WC, her twin siblings are two and they were at the WC game as well for their 1st game. We left mid third quarter, just to check the box, 1st game is a win. I would say 4 is a safe over/under.

Go Vols!

Thanks for the advice. Also, do small kids/toddlers/infants get in free? Or do we still have to buy a ticket for them?

1968 Tennessee vs Alabama. Vols win 10-9
I was an 8 year old, and I remember was how loud the crowd was and looking up at the scoreboard behind section X to see that final score. They still had the cannon, and the Tennessee Walking Horses at each game.

That is a great welcome to Neyland Stadium. Loved that canon!

I was 15 my first game. 2001 vs Vandy. Being "older" I really appreciated what a big deal it all was. Grew up a military brat and Dad was deployed a lot/ didn't live close to TN.

I have a 17 month old son now. Probably won't take him for at least another couple years.

I started going around 6-7yo to the lesser games. Always made the o&w games though. By 10yo I was selling cokes just to get a free ticket (saw the entire 85 season that way)

I was slingin Cokes in the early 90s for the same reason. $1.50 a piece. 30 to a rack, and we got to keep $3.00 per tray, plus tips IIRC. We may have gotten a hotdog and drink out of the deal too.

I'd sell my first (and only) rack, collect my hotdog and drink, and find a seat to watch the rest of the game.

First game I ever attended was the 87 Vanderbilt game with my dad. I was 8 years old and Tennessee stunk it up for a quarter and a half, and trailed 28-3. We managed to come back and win 38-36.

I have two sons, both enrolled at UT now. Their first games:
My oldest - Peyton Manning and Jamal Lewis kicking Ga.'s butt in 1997

My youngest watching us beat the butt of Arkansas in '2000

Later getting autographs from Anthony (NFL hall of fame) and Michael Munoz, and Big (I mean BIG) John Henderson.

Tennessee Upsets No. 1-Ranked Auburn : Bo Jackson Is Held to 80 Yards Rushing in Volunteers' 38-20 Victory

My first game, I was 17. My brother won tickets from Arby's.

Took my 7 yr old son this year to the Arky game, he had a blast and has asked to go every Saturday since then.

14 years old. 1966. I was an Ole Miss fan at the time because my dad and his side of the family were huge Ole Miss fans (my dad played MLB for Ole Miss under John Vaught), so all the games I had attended up to that point were either in Oxford or Jackson, MS, with the exception of one Ole Miss vs LSU game in Baton Rouge. My uncle on my mother's side (all that side of the family were UT alum) finally said they were taking me to a game at Neyland to see UT-Bama. The Tide won, 11-10, but it was a thrilling day and I became a huge UT fan going forward on that day, much to my dad's annoyance.

That's probably my favorite game that I've ever attended.

8 years old with my dad.Ole Miss 1989.

Chuck Webb runs wild. Lee Greenwood sang Proud to be an American. Some airmen parachuted on to the field. We bought the seats off the street about 30 minutes before kickoff. Section T, about row 20 ish. Only paid 12 bucks a piece for them.

I was 10 vs. Vandy in Nashville 1966. We won 28-0. I remember being there and quite a bit about the experience. Second game was the Gator Bowl that year vs. Syracuse. I actually remember a lot about that.

My first game attended at the stadium now called Neyland was before it got its name. It was in 1949 and the game was between the Trojans and the Bobcats. Anybody on here know who the Trojans and Bobcats were? And remember who might have won that game?

I'm guessing South Trojans vs Central Bobcats...HSFB

1967: Tenn 35, Tulane 14. I was 11. I don't remember much about the game but the size of the stadium and the crowd blew me away.
