Over capacity do y'all think the attendance will be announced at Saturday? I'm thinking around 105k

UT used to announce the attendance & it was always over capacity. Starting in 2010, they started announcing the attendance at 102,455 (capacity) & never any higher...does anyone know why they cap it at that now?

IIRC, they used to sell some standing room only tickets. Not sure they do that anymore. But there are also fewer actual seats now as well, due to the addition of the new club seats.

Attendance is typically calculated using season tickets sold, advanced tickets sold, walk-up sales on gameday (if any), plus students, players' pass lists, recruiting pass lists, VIP/sideline lists (the David Keiths of the world), game day staff, concession staff, security, credentialed media, and anybody else left breathing who isn't playing/coaching/officiating the game.

I'm thinking 104k-106k range

They haven't announced over capacity in a while because claiming anything remotely close to capacity would have been an absurd joke to publish anytime in the last half decade. :hi:

How much over capacity will it be? My guess is that, by the end of the game, we will say "The attendance...."

Georgia 2011, Ala & Fla 2010 were all listed as 102,544. I would have guessd 90,000 last Sat & they said 87,821.
Since expansion , We never had below 100,000 announced until ULL in 2007.
