How much will we spend?

I may be wrong...but I don't think Fulmer was making anywhere near $6 million. Nick Satan doesn't even make 6 mil.

Fulmer's buy out was in the $6 mil range...but that is to be paid over 4 years. Which is $1.5 million per year.

If you build it the money will come, cokes, pop corn, caps, shirts, underware :ermm: and so on! Not to mention donations. It will more than pay for itself! The economy in this area will be greatly enhanced as well. GO VOLS!!! :salute:

Jim Haslam, Charlie Anderson, Thunder Thornton, Allan Jones, John Ward (yes, that John Ward) are all big buck donors. Their donations alone more than cover the salaries.

Not many people realize how much money John Ward has contributed. Broadcasting was a hobby for Ward. He owns a very large, very successful advertising agency. He is a very wealthy man.

In the 1990s John Ward and his wife gave UT the largest single endowment in school history (up until that time). There was one stipulation attached. The university could never publicly reveal the actual amount.

It's not as much as you think. We are actually getting out of this fairly cheap.

The only way your statement of booster HAVING to be involved would be if the program has been taking losses the past few years...

That hasn't been happening. We're getting a tremendous staff for about the same price Bama is paying Saban ALONE.

this again? Lane kiffin and all the staff members will be making the same as Fulmet was making by himself. They boke it down the other day. All together all staff personal will make around 6 million.

$6 mill is Fulmer's buyout, not yearly salary.

If we hire all of these coaches at big salaries, and then can't afford them, maybe the government will step in with a bailout.

I did notice icee's were 25 cents higher at Pilot.

I read in another thread where someone suggested that one of the big offensive linemen might enhance his NFL draft status by also playing some defense. This thought provoked a potential problem...What if Coach O was for such a move, but Monte Kiffin wasn't (or imagine your own scenario where they might have strong but different opinions). Who would win,? and why?
Would Monte's (DC) opinion over-rule Coach O's (DL)? or would Coach O's status as (AHC) outrank the DC's?
Those are the type of conflicts that were blown out of proportion because Chavis would throw his weight around against the likes of Sanders and Clawson. I'm certain that in situations like that on other teams, these things are worked out with civility and no hard feelings.

Heck, it was probably Chavis' reluctance until the very end for Berry to take any snaps on offense...
