Of course, no one wants to see their alma mater presented in totally biased and inaccurate ways, but the thing I focus on are the so-called "sources" putting the stories out and how the media simply jumps on board. I'm more disturbed by the way our society has devolved. We've become group think and pack like. We're also a society of thin skinned, put upon victims. Everyone is offended. Everyone is wronged. We've simply lost our way in this country. This, much more than the negativity surrounding UT, has me most concerned. Frankly, I doubt this country will survive what's happened to it. Tragic. I voted a little as well.

Just let's me know people are trying to dig up old stuff and link it to new stuff in order to keep the UT programs down.

You are correct sir! Problem is most people refuse to recognize the cause so it will not get fixed anytime soon. Good news is the story has a happy ending!

The attention span of most people in the social media age is about 1 week, at most. Next week it will be a new story and a few months from now it will be a non issue.

The recent legal complaint filed against UT was comprised of 164 pages. IMO, 164 pages makes a decent paperback trash novel but as a legal instrument, it is laughable.:hi:

As Benjamin Franklin said, "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see..."
I think he meant to add ...on the Internet."

I remember someone saying that publicist is good even if it is negative. I am not sure if this applies here. However it is keeping us in the press during a very slow period. I doubt many of the recruits we are pursuing are to concerned about a bit of horse play in the locker room that occurred almost twenty years ago. What this does damage more than anyone in particular is the University of Tennessee overall perception. I hope the University will aggressively defend the general accusation's and not just agree to a settlement. Then people making this type accusation's will seek more substantial evidence of their assertion's prior to making such damaging claims.
