And yes at the time of the Schiano deal and Gundy, Doeren, and others telling us no, Kiffin was the best available hire.
Once it was clear that Phil would be AD, that went out the window and he narrowed in on Pruitt and Tucker.
My preference of the two was always Tucker because of long term tenure being a realistic option. If Pruitt wins here, he has no incentive to stay the minute Saban hangs it up. Pruitt will be using UT as a stepping stone to Bama if Dabo ever turns them down. Can't blame Pruitt at all and I wish him success. I just hope we aren't going down this route in 4-6 years looking for a new coach because he went home.
Next year is going to be a fun year. Especially on offense.
Here you go again with more of your Trollish and totally UNrealistic BS just to try to make Pruitt look bad.
1...When nick saTan retires then Pruitt won't have nearly the resume' of success that Dabo has already and Dabo IS as much a Bama boy as Pruitt.
2...It's very doubtful that Dabo wil turn down the HC job at Bama for several reasons...
A...Dabo won't be able to turn down the monster player roster that nick saTan leaves behind.
B...Bama will already have a locked in top 5 or higher recruiting class...again.
C...Bama will do exactly to Dabo what they did to nick saTan, back a huge Brinks truck up to Dabos door that Clemson won't dare to match or beat and we all know that BIG $$$$ talks very loudly.
Now you say our Tennessee O is going to be really fun to watch next season which everyone knows is NOT realistic at all.
We just LOST 8 games for the 1st time in our history and we won ZERO of our SEC games, NONE!
We do NOT have a clue of a starting QB or even if any of them will transfer out.
We have ONLY 1 guy on our O line that would be a starter at any of the other top programs in the country, ONE!
We have some pretty good RB's but how many would be starters next season at top programs.
How many WR's do we have that would be starters at other top programs?
Name me the TE's that we have that would be starters at other top programs.
It's either you that does NOT know anything about college footVol and a solid recruiting rotation or else you're just a hater of Pruitt and doing consistent Trolling to try to make him look bad by the end of year 2 with your UNrealistic total BS.
After my 50+ years of studying college footVol I have to consider this years recruiting class as a solid WIN if we finish close to a top 15 class and that would be a miracle considering that we were ranked 55th in recruiting only 12 days before the 1st signing day.
I'll give Pruitt and his new staff at least 3 to 4 years to recruit his type of players and coach them up and playing on the field before I do a serious analysis to evaluate where I think he's taking us like more intelligent people would do.
We're on the bottom of the SEC right now so it's a huge challenge to climb back up the mountain again but I have a feeling that Pruitt will have us back to competing for the East by year 3 or 4 and that will be pretty good considering how far behind we are right now.
I want miracles but I'm far too intelligent to expect or demand them.
VFL...GBO!!!
