I guessed that was what you were looking for. I've read and heard many stories of them as pets. Damn, just remembered that I knew a guy years ago in Knoxville that had one for a pet. He was an avid hunter at the time.

My uncle had one in the 70's, but it lived outside in a rabbit hutch type thing, It was friendly and wouldn't run off when loose, by all accounts.

That's exactly how Ron kept his, too. He would have it in the house feeding and watering it but don't know anything further than that.

They are generally pretty relaxed, I guess. My grandfather used to let them go when he accidentally trapped them.

He said it was similar to having a cat around the house. They trained them to use a litter box as well.

It is best if you can get one before its' eyes open. No comparison to a cat, they have four hands for feet and open almost anything you can.

My grandfather had a pet squirrel he found as an abandoned baby. It would bite you if you made it mad. If it were still alive, I would rename it hman.
