They're considered more of a basketball school, correct?........after McNabb and Dwight Freeney I dont think ive heard much about their gridiron teams. Id say 2k or so ACTUAL fans. The rest just getting in a sightseeing trip to Atlanta. Hope they come strapped 🔫.

There was a guy named Jim Brown that played there. Maybe you have heard of him?

Not sure what part made you so upset, but I apologize. Have a great weekend. 👍

I’ll take the bait and defend my city. Do you really think Atlanta is that dangerous?

To paraphrase local parlance and native son Lil Jon, “don’t start no ish, won’t be no ish.”

Lol.....na, im just messing around because they have that stigma from the 90s. Actually, statistically they've gone down in violent crime......there was no bait intended.

Your original point stands—they’ve had a few flashes in the pan as far as great players go, but they’re definitely a basketball school and likely always will be.

There were very few sports books in my elementary school library that I remember, but there was one that I kept checked out for at least a year, maybe two- I was probably supposed to be in there reading about the civil war or something. I can only remember two books from that age - some book about the war and general Sherman being an asshat, and the sports book. It was called Czonka. It was a biography and I read it many times. That dude was a freaking beast and the toughest football player that ever lived - at least as far as I could tell.

Syracuse has way more NFL HOFers (9) than Tennessee. Not to mention a Heisman winner in Ernie Davis.

Jim Brown
Larry Csonka
Al Davis
John Mackey
Art Monk
Floyd Little
Marvin Harrison
Jim Ringo
Dwight Freeney

I’m guessing McNabb will be inducted at some point, giving them 10.

They also produced Daryl Johnston, one of my favorite fullbacks of all time.
