We're not spending enough money to be a championship team. That's the sad state of college football right now. You have to recruit a whole roster of millionaires to insure you get to the top of the mountain now because, as we have seen, some of them just don't work out.As I have said he got us from the dungeon, but he is not a championship coach and proves it over and over
Not even a year old account. It is very clear that even with teams not that good, when a big game comes around that the VOLS need to win, Heupel alters his persona and strategies to play it safe, not have discipline on the team (thus silly mistakes) and here we will be once again: a bunch of meaningless wins and NO championships. He has done a great job of getting the team out of the dungeon, but seems to lack that "special it" that makes for championship coaches. Time to give him a nice bonus, thank him for his service and send him on his way.
Who do you want, go back to Butch or Pruitt or whose your man you're cheering for to coach your big game Vols?It is very clear that even with teams not that good, when a big game comes around that the VOLS need to win, Heupel alters his persona and strategies to play it safe, not have discipline on the team (thus silly mistakes) and here we will be once again: a bunch of meaningless wins and NO championships. Coach had us in position to win, that's all you can ask for, Gilbert makes that FG 9 out of 10 times and in fact he hit the same FG in OT but it was too late. The game was played basically even UGA had edge on players talent and we had our best DB out and our highest rated O-lineman out plus some other starters out and were in a position to win, player didn't execute his job simple as that but he needs him to keep his head up he will be needed down the road. We beat the vegas line and everyone except a bunch on here think UT is a playoff team after watching that game. We just have some negative nellies.I’m not there yet. However if he can’t put up a win against UGA next season or their next game they play at Neyland, it will be time for a change. We had a talent parity with UGA on the field and he still did not get it done this season. I’m pulling for him but if he can’t get it done find somebody who can.

You obviously didn’t learn anything from Whineman getting raked over the coals.I’m not there yet. There’s a different between CANT get us over the hump vs HASNT gotten us over the hump.I am just a person that has a different view than you do-perhaps you can tell us what championships he has gotten us close to. He just can't get us over the hump.
Probably won't see Georgia at Neyland again for at least 4 years when amount of conference games change. It won't be as big a deal after this year.I’m not there yet.
