How many of you are tired of Heupel not able to win big games??

It is very clear that even with teams not that good, when a big game comes around that the VOLS need to win, Heupel alters his persona and strategies to play it safe, not have discipline on the team (thus silly mistakes) and here we will be once again: a bunch of meaningless wins and NO championships. He has done a great job of getting the team out of the dungeon, but seems to lack that "special it" that makes for championship coaches. Time to give him a nice bonus, thank him for his service and send him on his way.
I understand and sympathize with your frustration in the loss. But we have come such a long ways from the days of Derek Dooley and Butch Jones. We are currently #1 or top 5 in recruiting depending on your resource.

Coach Heupel is not perfect. But he reminds me a lot of Steve Spurrier. An offensive genius who knows how to score points. I will take a specialist like that versus the wilderness we have been in over the last decade.

Can’t win big games? Geez, man. He is 2-2 vs UF and 2-2 vs ALA. I mean, what was our record vs those two teams the past 10 years before he got here?

He has not beat UGA. There are SEVERAL teams in the top 25 whose coaches can say the same thing.

Heupel is good,

Just need to get over that Georgia hump. And win in the Swamp.

Would also be nice to keep from dropping that 1 head-scratcher game each season (South Carolina in 2022, Arkansas last season).

But, man, Heupel has gotten this program back to a good place so much faster than I dared hope when he arrived.

Alabama 2024?
Florida 2024?
Texas A&M 2023?
LSU 2022?
Alabama 2022?

And others. Wtf you talking about?

To be fair, those trashing Dooley, Jones, and Pruitt today were the same ones defending them to the death during their time at Tennessee as coaches.

LSU in death valley, Alabama twice and op complains he can't win big games.

I’d throw the two Florida wins in there as well just because no one else has shown that they could beat them regularly. Also, 2022 Clemson in the orange bowl. Wasn’t the Clemson team that won natties but still, we dominated them and it was impressive.

Exactly. Kirby has only beaten Bama once. One less win than Heupel and he's currently tied with Clark Lea at Vandy with one victory over them. FIRE Kirby!!!

Some coaches just have your number and they know it. Right now it’s Kirby. Before him it was Saban. Before Saban it was spurrier. Oddly enough, when we started beating spurrier on a consistent basis he retired and I think that the 2022 Bama game did something to Saban as well. He knew that things were changing.
