How many of you are tired of Heupel not able to win big games??

It is very clear that even with teams not that good, when a big game comes around that the VOLS need to win, Heupel alters his persona and strategies to play it safe, not have discipline on the team (thus silly mistakes) and here we will be once again: a bunch of meaningless wins and NO championships. He has done a great job of getting the team out of the dungeon, but seems to lack that "special it" that makes for championship coaches. Time to give him a nice bonus, thank him for his service and send him on his way.

I am just a person that has a different view than you do-perhaps you can tell us what championships he has gotten us close to. He just can't get us over the hump.
Did you watch the game ? If so you had a coach that was stacked with talent when he took over and has won a couple NC's and will likely win one again at some point in KS. Josh has built this thing to where we were a fg away from beating one of the most talented teams in the country with a qb we got in march. I'd say he is doing fine. There were mistakes made but sometimes kids/ young men falter. We lost to a really good football team.

1. He’s won several big games since he’s been here
2. Georgia is not “not that good”. As much as I hate them, they are loaded with talent and probably the best coached team in CFB.
3. I agree Josh could’ve done some things better, but at least we are competitive again. I know it sounds silly but Herbstreit made an interesting comment during the game to the effect of “two heavyweights slugging it out”. When was the last time we were considered to be a heavyweight of college football?

I’m very tired of dopey VN posters making garbage posts like this

Dumbest post in VN history, and there have been some doozies over the years.

Interesting- sick of the posts but not sick of not be a championship team????? Do you like mediocrity? Do you want the Vols to be a Dallas Cowboy type team?
You're obviously a fan of mediocrity with your list of coaching prospects, by the way your man Glenn just started his HC career 0-2. Same as Johnson and Moore. Yup you are a big fan of mediocrity.

Heupel has done something no other coach here has in my lifetime

demean those that disagree- come now- are you not better than that? Can't defend your boy Huepel?

What happened to your boy Peyton Manning? Last year you were calling for him to take the job. Now you want one of these other guys. Who will you clamor for next year, Tom Brady?

So dumb. Everyone said that about Kirby until he won back to back nattys. We should’ve won. That loss will springboard us the rest of the season. NOBODY is going to want to see us in the playoffs. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Really, we've been splitting the series with FL and Alabama when we couldn't beat them at all, he had us ranked #1, even if it was for a few days and we just played in the playoffs, come on,

I disagree wholeheartedly. Bunch of meaningless wins? Surely this is an attempt at hyperbole…

He beat Bama a couple of times. Chill out. Takes a while to get the talent up.

Oh Yes, Why don't we go ahead and fire him so we can get a real coach like Butch Jones or Derek Dooly or maybe even Jeremy Pruitt. It has worked so well for us before.

We were literally in the CFP last season. You seem to be one of these reactionary types with a narrow view.
UT has a really good team this year and are exciting as hell to watch. Let’s see where we are in Nov., not the second week of Sept.
