How many of you are tired of Heupel not able to win big games??

It is very clear that even with teams not that good, when a big game comes around that the VOLS need to win, Heupel alters his persona and strategies to play it safe, not have discipline on the team (thus silly mistakes) and here we will be once again: a bunch of meaningless wins and NO championships. He has done a great job of getting the team out of the dungeon, but seems to lack that "special it" that makes for championship coaches. Time to give him a nice bonus, thank him for his service and send him on his way.
I'm honestly just sick of these posts after every game

Exactly. There is no guarantee that the next guy would do better and we would probably lose a lot of our 4 and 5 star recruits with a coaching change.
It’s almost a guarantee that the replacement will do worse. We have a winner and we’re getting better every year. Wanting to get rid of Huepel is crazy talk.

any of these would be fine: Kliff Kingsbury, Aaron Glenn, Vance Joseph, Ben Johnson, Kellen Moore
None have won a championship or have come close. You do realize there are only 3 coaches who have won a championship? You act like everybody has a championship coach but UT. Joseph and Kingsbury have been failures as head coaches. Johnson and Moore haven't won anything. You are clueless.

while I do believe Huepel needs to improve his in game coaching, I don't believe he should be replaced. The good thing about yesterday is they can make massive improvements from week to week. I sure hope he learns from that one yesterday but on to the next one 🍊🍊

Heup is doing a great job. I like everything he's done so far. I wonder how bad we would have beaten Georgia with our corners back. Hell just McCoy. Untimely injuries are part of the game but he's been a little snakebit in that department.

He has brought us out of the dumpster that’s for sure. With that being said he at times makes some decisions that makes me wonder what he is thinking. I am hoping that he continues to improve his game management. Just have to keep putting ourselves in these positions to finish it off. Aguilar has really showed me that nothing is too big for him. Played a great game just couldn’t close the deal.

We don’t deserve fans like the OP.

Unbelievably bad take.

It irks me that I think Butch Jones last coach to beat them now they have a school record nine win streak going against us. But he is the best coach we have had since Fulmer.

Interesting- sick of the posts but not sick of not be a championship team????? Do you like mediocrity? Do you want the Vols to be a Dallas Cowboy type team?

are you getting paid by Huepel to be his PR director? He is getting paid 9 million a year to do nothing, but win meaningless games. He looks like the Jim Furyk of golf

Respectfully I don't see making the playoffs as mediocre.

Mediocre? We lost in overtime to the #6 team in the nation. There was some questionable play calling, but we were in position to win it in regulation with a field goal. We put more yards on Georgia than any team in a long time and we are down multiple defensive starters. If we finish 9-3 or worse then you can call the team mediocre. We got to the playoffs last season with a mediocre quarterback. We got there on the strength of our defense and I would argue some decent coaching.

None of those guys would come here, and I would bet most if not all of them would be a downgrade.

But Heupel is who he is. A good, not great coach who builds a good culture and is a good offensive mind. Shíts the bed more times than not in pressure situations though.

Dude has won big games he just can’t beat Kirby. Also he needs to quit laying an egg every season to some team he should beat.

I take it you preferred the good ole days of Dooley, Jones, and Pruitt?

We could go back to coaches that fail to beat Georgia State's, Vanderbilt, etc...

I do not, in any way, want to get rid of CJH. However I felt gut punched yesterday. Coach still has a way to go with in game coaching style and particularly clock management. This loss in no way is on the players. They played toe to toe with the defending SEC champ. Talent is no longer a reason to lose to anybody. Tenn’s top 48 players are as good as anyone else’s. For fans, There are only 3 games that have mattered over the past 20-30 years. Ala, Fl, and Ga. These wins have been few and far between so to lose one you definitely should have won causes we as fans to think irrationally. However, I have always said some coaches can build programs and others are championship winners.
