How Many of Our Guys could start or play significant minutes for other top tier SEC Teams?

With players like Velus Jones the thing that's really irritating is that it seems that other top programs are able to get productivity out of the their freshmen athletes and also they have multiple effective options at quarterback. These coaches have had this program for multiple years now. The excuses are running out. Do what you have to do to get guys ready. I love Jeremy Pruitt and he seems like a great person but it's beginning to be very questionable if he can be the leader of an elite program. I really hope he figures it out. It's too late this year in my opinion. The only thing that would change my mind is a 3 game winning streak.
Jones wasn't productive at USC. He had 1 TD in 76 returns, he's been terrible here in the return game. I personally don't see why he gets so many touches as his long one Saturday is the only thing he's done. Using him is a bad example, as for getting Fr ready to play he's had several already so far. Thompson, Taylor, Henry T, Gray, Crouch and Emerson all performed at a high level their Fr seasons. I think Hyatt and Baron are having good Fr seasons this year, especially considering they got literally zero practice compared to years past. This is the SEC, nothing compares so you're already in trouble every Freshman you play and Pruitt has had 8 or so have good Fr campaigns in 3 seasons Not bad I feel as there are several more showing signs, lil Biscuit Bennett comes to mind immediately.

I look at it as how many could make the 2 deep at Alabama or Georgia...and its not many. On D Henry To’o To’o is the only one I think could for sure make the two deep at either of those schools. On O I think for sure Trey Smith and maybe Eric Gray would make the two deep. So I think 2 maybe 3 of our players could make the two deep on Bama or Georgia.

Bryce Thompson - thoughts?
Eric Gray - Would play at least some for most teams
Henry To'o To'o - Would start for any team
Trey Smith - Would start for any team
Cade Mayes - Would start for any team
Wanya Morris- thoughts?
Darnell Wright- thoughts?
Darel Middleton- thoughts?
Aubrey Solomon - thoughts?
Alonte' Taylor - thoughts?

Harrison Bailey - ?

any others?

Henry To'oto'o has not been an All-Conference player so far this year.
It's a result of poor team morale. Defense has played too many snaps and the othet ILBs aren't nearly as effective.
He's still been effective and consistent, but man he's taken a beating in the pass game.

The whole Oline would start anywhere else. They can't block 8 guys. Not going to maul people like Nebraska for 60 mins with 200 lbs RBs. Need a respectable pass game to keep defense off balance and offense balanced.

We have a talented team that is being severely underutilized.

TooToo has not had the season he had last year. However he draws a lot of attention from OCs this year that he didn't get last year. You can see it how the OL especially is seeking and trying to trap him almost every play. He's bitten on a few plays in the passing game he shouldn't have against RPOs, but averall the effort is there every play. He has to find a way to get off the OL blocks better as they key on him every running play.

We have plenty of poorly coached talent. Or players playing the wrong position. Crouch is a damn bruiser RB, not a LB. Just being honest.

To be fair here I'm pretty sure during his recruitment he didn't want to play RB so the staff put him on the other side.

Pro Football Focus gives some of the guys you have as start for any team, pretty low grades. Most notably Henry T...he grades out as a back up.

Eric G, Trey Sm get above average grades.

Now this is based on where they are currently..not their physical abilities and potential.

Several. Cade Mays already has. Smith would. Morris and Wright likely. Gray for certain. Several of UT's receivers would play if not start.

Solomon and Middleton would be in a two deep. As someone mentioned, LB is thin. Jackson, Flowers, Taylor, and Thompson have the talent to play for anyone in the SEC.

To try to paint this as a lack of SEC level talent is silly.

You're seeing more out of Mays and To'oto'o than I am. Neither has been terribly impressive this year.
To'oto'o has not done as well in his sophomore season as he did in his freshman season. He is being completely exposed (along with everybody else on our defense) in pass coverage.

How would you answer that question until these players receive some type of development? In a real system they would probably all play.

I think part of the issue is that the teams we play are very aware of him and definitely get a body on him on running plays - our DL doesn’t eat up the blockers like the more dominant DLs. In pass coverage he’s a middle LB and not going to do well against faster players...and like all our guys in pass coverage, the lack of a consistent pass rush just magnifies weaknesses.

We have middle of the pack SEC talent but appear lower primary because of QB play IMO

Gray, Trey, Cade, Palmer, Henry, Thompson, Taylor. Could start on any other SEC Team.
Wanya, Darnell, Middlelton, Solomon, could start on a few others.

You did say ANY other SEC Team, right?
