How many past or present military members do we have here on the Vol Nation?

I joined the Air Force in 1993, my MEPS station was in Nashville, I lived in Smyrna at the time. My first assignment was Rhein Main Germany. I was there as a Crew Chief on the C-130 form Oct 93 till Jul 94. I had to move to Ramstein Germany in Jul 94 and stayed there till Sep 96. I have been at Dyess AFB in Abilene Tx ever since. I decided that I wanted to fly on the herk instead of turning wrenches. I cross-trained to be a flight engineer in 2002 one year to the day of Sept 11. :hi:

Thanks in advance for what you guys and gals do.

Joined the Navy July 17, 1997.

I plan on separating May 29, 2007.

I went through MEPS in St. Louis. I was sworn in at a Cardinals-Padres game and then went to boot camp in Chicago.

I was there for just over a year including boot camp and electronics school. From there I went to Norfolk for 6 more months of school...and finally to my first ship, USS Carr.

I was there until September 2000 before being placed on limited duty due to ankle injury. Transferred to NAS Oceana (Virginia Beach) and was there through surgery and rehab. Transferred to USS Nimitz in June 01 and went around South America starting September 21, 2001.

Transferred back to Chicago, Great Lakes for school and finally to be an instructor, in November 2003. Found out in April that I was being deployed to Djibouti. Went to Camp McGrady/Fort Jackson in South Carolina for weapons training and arrived here June 17th. I'm scheduled to get back home just before Christmas.

Been to the booty and done that. Granted it was only for a few days at a time. Do they still have the "drunk monk" at the bar? I drank one too many of those one night. I did a couple of missons out of there for some 2 star.

One team, one fight, three drinks a night. That's the new policy, and I haven't met the "drunk monk". Things have probably changed drastically since you were here last. You could get around the "policy", but it sucks to be you if you're busted.

Right now we're sitting here with way too many Marines with too much time on their hands. I don't know details, but about 500 marines showed up yesterday, and the 500 or so they're relieving don't leave until this weekend. Everything here is packed...gym, PX, MWR facilities, it's insane.

are you contractor or GS?

Nellis isn't bad at all. Too bad the A-10s are getting phased out. Those things are amazing

11H? That was a while back. 11H now belongs to 11B.

1993-94...So they got merged in with the bulletstoppers? Didn't they have something like 11A after that as well? What happened to C's and B2's? They all get condensed?
