7 or 8 losses was likely no matter who we hired. A third of our roster has bolted for the portal, NCAA sanctions on the way. Saban couldn't go 7-5 here next year, this roster is in far worse shape than what he took over at Alabama. Next year is going to be brutal, keep your cup on.

Depends on who the losses are to and how competitive we were.

If the 2021 Vols go 6-6 it will be a miracle regardless of who the coach is.

Not going to judge him on the first year. The best I'm hoping for are results building up momentum for year two both on and off the field.

The most important work he will be doing in this first year is off the field. He must repair the damage done to in-state recruiting by the previous head coach. While we don't have the talent other states in the SEC footprint have at their disposal on a yearly basis, there is enough in Tennessee to lay a strong foundation for the necessary work of bringing in talent from outside the state.

Pitt was better than Tennessee in 2020 and will be in 2021 most likely. I could see Tennessee beating BGSU,South Alabama and Vanderbilt.

If we lose 10 scholarships and have a bowl ban I think the fans will be satisfied with 9 or 10 wins. There's already an effort to get him fired and that will intensify if we don't win the national championship game by more than 10, regardless of whether we are eligible.
