Gave it their all against Bama and will not be back? The crowd did their part as far as I could tell on TV (I live in MO now.)

As far as I was concerned the crowd was in near full force effort-wise. I liked the intensity in the stands more so than on the field for most of the game. I'm a little depleted after having my heart broken again but I'll be back for the rest of the games still.

No more trips to Knoxville, but I'll be at the Vandy game, only because I live in Nashville.

Which mine being done doesn't really matter at all in the grand scheme of things. Unlike the Tennessee coaches I'm fully aware my scheme won't work.

I'm definitely not going back. I will pick up my student tickets so the athletic department can't sell them to an opposing fan though. I saw one too many Bama fans in the student section. I assume some morons sold their tickets to them too. I am DONE with this team. I have been able to go to three games, and I even bought the MS State game on pay per view. I left disappointed and angry each time I went to a game. It costs too much to park and takes too much time out of a day when I could be doing something much better... Those things wouldn't even be issues if I thought this team gave it their maximum effort and the coaching staff could come up with ways to keep the team in the games. It's the same old crap. It is a waste of time and money. And I'm done with it.

The games are so bad that the only enjoyment would come from getting drunk after them to forget what I just saw. I don't do that though. I leave feeling miserable. No fun. No entertainment. Just bad feelings. Goodbye Fulmer. I appreciate what you have done, but YOU are done. Maybe next year the team will be worth watching.

It's basketball time in Tennessee!

The fans really showed up and supported this team. Many more people there than I thought there would be. From here on I would say it will be different.

I'll be at the USC game but it is the only game I will have made it to all year.

I made that decision after the florida game. That was the point I finally realized that hoping for future success under the current regime was wasted effort. I'll always love the Vols, but I'm not wasting any more emotional energy or money supporting a sinking ship.

The crowd was in it early and lost volume with each successive shot in the foot. I, myself, am hoarse and disappointed. I'll probably be back for more, however. The off-season is too long to skip the games, for better or for worse.

I agree that on TV the crowd was great, but I disagree that the effort on the field was bad. It looked to me like the effort was there, the execution wasn't. I was proud that our guys appeared to be working their asses off, our O-line just can't execute what DC wants. Holly even had a report about that.

It is frustrating as heck when the fans do their part and the team is apparently appathetic and in some cases having a moment of intense humor (briscoe) while disaster unfolds.

Maybe we are recruiting the wrong kind of players.

I am not here to rub it in. I was reading this thread, and thought I would comment on vol fans at the game. I thought the fans at the game were great. They cheered their hearts out.
As for the players. The tn players did give a lot of effort. The scheme they were using just was not working. It didn't look to me to be lack of effort or talent, just game plan. Here's hoping you guys end up with a good coach. Not sure if this will be it for Fulmer, but it just may be.
Cheers to ya'll. You are good fans. My hats off to ya. I know how hard it was for ten years to be true BAMA fan, I just hope you guys don't have to wait that long.

I personally think the crowd wasn't near what it could have been. Mostly because half of the crowd was Bama fans. All the season ticket holders in my area sold their tickets to Bama fans. Disgraceful. I'm as disappointed as anyone about this season, but I'll never sell my tix to Bammers.

The mix was very noticeable in HD. Damn that HD. Disappointing to see.

I live in Italy. I got up at 2:30AM to see kickoff. I payed a marginal sum of money to watch it via satellite. If you could not hear my screams in Knoxville, I apologize. My children certainly did. I noticed as they came down stairs crying and scared. They thought Mommy hadn't washed the dishes again. I kid. She'll never make that mistake again.

Not this year. I made the 7 hour drive (by way of Beaufort, SC this trip - which made it a 14 hour drive) for the game for the 3rd time this year. I was so bored with the offense that I actually left at 22-3. My son laughed at me saying that I went a long way for a field goal.

Sold my Wyoming tickets for $40 for the pair (to the guy who sits next to me) and will probably use the UK tickets to start my first fire of the year.

But I will donate and be back again with enthusiasm for the start of next year. Hopefully the right leaders will be here then (whoever they may be).
