How many 100 yard games do you see Poole having this year?

What do you expect from a true freshman?

To not sit the bench the entire year, if he's as good as he's hyped on this board. RB is as easy of a position as there is for a freshman to get on the field if they have the ability.

it appears he has a fresh start for 2010. We'll see how his future pans out. We know the story of the past.

He was behind 2 NFL backs and a rivals 100 player. The fact that he even got carries that year is impressive

One of which went undrafted and another who battled the injury bug and ended up with less than 300 yards that year.

Trent Richardson was behind a Heisman winner, but that didn't keep him glued to the bench.

Not all kids adjust to college at the same speed.
Foster was 2nd on UT's all time rushing list. Trent is probably one of the best backs in the country and he had hardly any competition for the 2nd string job. I don't understand the Poole hate. He was Top 200 recruit in the country.

He's the third most talented running back on our roster. There's a reason he's been buried on the depth chart under both previous coaches.
you sometimes post some good info... then you ruin it with stupid stuff like this.

two years ago he was a frshman "bried" behind foster, MH, and creer who was ahead of MH.

last year he got hosed because kiffin needed to play bb for recruiting and the deal he made to get bb.

tp is #1 this year because he earned it. no one but you seems to question that

Which was?
hit w/ a leg injury that hurt his camp performances and sr season...bottom line.

he was set to be very highly ranked after his jr year.

it also didn't help that he made a firm early commit to ut.

I'd say 4-5 at this point. If the o line plays well vs Oregon it could be 6 or 7

He's a great running back and plus he's a great mentor to younger RB's like Oku. Poole will have 6+ 100 yard games this year since he already had 1 then that means at least 5 more are to come. If he wasn't splitting carries with Oku Saturday he would have had a 200 yard game IMO.

Poole had major fumbling problems in practice last year. I'm not sure why you wanted Kiffin to put in a player who had proven time and time again that he couldn't secure the football. Oku and Neal are both superior running backs.

That excuse was also used when Lennon Creer left.

But fumbling issues can also be coached into non-issues. I use my case and point with Arian Foster winning a starting job in the NFL.

Anytime a guy averages over 8 yds per carry, even in the limited number of carries he did get, then in his first start averages over 6 yds per carry, opponent aside, he must know a little something about running the ball.

I say he will have 8-9 100 yard games and be a big part of us winning more games than the 'experts' think. If you saw the defense of UAB, LSU, Memphis, Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky you would see how that could give him 6 highly likely 100 yd games if healthy.

I say he has 8 100 yd. games. He may not be the most talented but he's talented and determined and that means alot. The carries will be 50% Poole and 25% each for Oku and Neal roughly unless productivity changes drastically. I think the rb situation is ok. Will the line block well against good teams is a question.
