How long does the UT/UK streak go on

Hmmmmm........an interesting question that is impossible to predict. Last year and in 2005 were great chances for them to beat us and we dominated them. I would think that if they do not get us next year the streak continues for another 5 - 10 years minimum.

Exactly. If they were gonna get us, they would have done it in the last 5 years -- when they had several good opportunities against mediocre UT teams.

They didn't. UT is going to get better. UK will remain garbage. Streak will continue.

I do not see the streak ending anytime soon but then again... we were beat by Memphis and Vandy too! Never thought I would see those days in my lifetime.

Which is why I set it at 33 instead of 53. Really just a random guess based on my very reasonable assumption that we will be better than UK for the next 12 years...but that at some point an upset is bound to happen.

Great question. They have been closer in the last decade than many of us remember. Weren't we down by 21 at one point. I believe that Donte Stallworth then went "Rod Wilks" on them, thus winning the game. Can any one else remember this?

I'll say 5 years and then we get surprised... it happens to everybody. :(

It will happen at some point. I thought they might do it a couple of years ago in that overtime game. I'd say it will happen in the next 10 years.

They probably have as good a chance this year as the last couple, but we already know how those games turned out.

I was thinking about this other day. Since you come up with this, I were thinking other 25 years from now. But this IS SEC, so you never know.:peace2:

A lot of the games have been uncomfortably close, even when we were good and they were, well, what they almost always are. It's more of a fluke than anything that it's gone this long. We should beat Kentucky, what? 90 percent of the time? Which means that it should end sometime in the next 9 or 10 years.

If it doesn't happen this year or next , it may not happen for quite awhile.......but they are past due

This year and next will probably be their best chances for a long, long time. Let's hope they don't make the most of them.

I'm setting the over/under at 33.

A long long time....This isn't basketball...We should dominate them for years to come...Few of you remember what it feels like to lose to them or were not born the last time...I remember the sickening feeling well.

You realize you just jinxed it by even asking the question, right?

Whatever the streak is now, that's where it will end.

I remember, I was 14 at the time. :furious3:

Hopefully over 33.
