Give them 5 years and shut down the internet so the crazy fans cant cause any negativity and cost them recruits and games

We still have good players that have plenty of talent. A good coach and a good coaching staff should be able to take what's left over and be .500 until their new kids start to fill the majority of the ranks. Problem is the administration can't seem to find a good coach

Depends

If we go the Steele as Interim route, then whoever comes next after the sanctions should get 4 years minimum.

If we go straight to hire, I think you are talking at least 6.

Ok here is a thought...Do you really believe the fans will pay good money to go see Steele coach this team?...In my opinion they won't...They really need to have a guy in place soon or the recruiting and the season ticket sales are going in the toilet....I do not expect Steele to be the interim come fall, I expect him to be coaching one of the defensive positions if the next coach wants to keep him...He should he is a decent coordinator...Too early to tell what is going to happen.

Realistically? A decade. People will laugh, but depending on the severity of the sanctions, on top of all the players leaving, and add in both an AD and HC search that could go into February—possibly even the end of 2021 for the HC—it’s going to take a long time. I mean we’re potentially looking at a complete and utter rebuild of a program from the ground up. That takes at least 3-4 years. From there, you’re talking another 3 just to get the system fully in place. So honestly, a coach coming into this mess would need a decade to be fully relevant and competitive for a SEC title.

So in TN fanbase time: 2 years, or year 3 if it’s not an 8 or 9 win season, he’s out!
