How is USC's program in better shape than ours

Doubt it since the depth is still there, and a team of highly trained orangutans could beat Colorado and UCLA.

Currently I meant. They almost lost to Arizona, Minnesota, and Utah. Doubtful they win with those two gone.

The Minnesota debacle looks worse and worse each week for the trogans, but Utah has a good coach, and while Arizona stinks, having a qb like foles makes them a threat to win any league game against teams not named Oregon or Stanford, that is when his receivers aren't busy dropping passes.

They didn't almost lose to Arizona. The Utah game was their own stupidity, but they controlled the game.

Asu was close just bad turnovers in red zone.

Since when is losing by 21 points close?

I watched the game. It was closer than the score indicated.

Your logic on Arizona/Utah plus ASU being a close game just doesn't totally add up. And I watched as well.

Yes it was.

For some reason, I do not find an argument compelling that says a game is close when you are down 21 pts. with 7 minutes to go in the 4th yet think that a game that is within a TD into the 4th qtr. wasn't close.

Seems pretty obvious.Kiffin and Dooley had the same record at in their first years at UT even though kiffins team had way more talent and probably a softer schedule or at least close. Nuff said.Kiffin may get flashy recruiting classes but if they cant stay more than a year it doesnt do us much good.

Kiffin did have a more talented team by a fair bit, but we're not talking *that* much better. And granted Dooley had Oregon on the non-con in his first year, but Kiffin had to go to Alabama and Florida, #1 and #3 respectively. I'd say that alone sets the SOS apart.

Kiffin lost a ton of talent when he first got there. I wouldn't say they're more talented, but their schedule is certainly more favorable. We'd be about the same if we played theirs and Bray wasn't hurt.

The Utah game was close. But USC was clearly the better team. USC just struggled early in the year.

The asu game was close until USC started making dumb turnovers. Asu Deserved to win, but my point is that USC wasn't outmanned, just out coached in 4th quarter.
