How is this not more noteworthy than Hostessgate

Buying underage recruits alcohol on a visit isn't that bad. I mean it's just boys being boys right? They didn't rob anyone or shoot anyone so it's ok (note the heavy sarcasm)

It's times like these I wish I had my own nationally syndicated radio or TV show. I wouldn't stop crucifying these media clowns for what they're trying to do to TN for at least a few months.

Because Sark isn't a media lightening rod like Lane is...

This!! CLK + UT= big time media hate!! Just the opposite with Fl and Urb, the media has a huge chubby for him! He has a player that trys to perminatly blind someone and another drinking and driving and both of them are probably playin in the Sugar! All this bad media has nothing to do with hostesses, its all about hating on CLK and UT as much as possible.

Also... Why isnt the paying of players at LSU more newsworthy than this non-story we've been forced to endure.... No sex at LSU I guess.... Can't sell papers that way.

Yeah, I brought this up last night right after the news broke - http://www.volnation.com/forum/around-ncaa/89273-if-were-lucky-will-take-some.html

Apperantly it happened almost a year ago. The local Seattle press is just now reporting it. It just so happens that Jake Locker announced that he's staying for his senior year, so this story was pretty much buried by Locker's announcement as soon as it broke.

As of about 5 minutes ago, I still couldn't find anything on ESPN about it. I guess no one cares unless you are Lane Kiffin. Did you all notice that on the Seattle times article people in the comments section are bashing Kiff? The d-bags here don't know anything about the SEC or Tennessee - just what they read on espn or the NYT.

And that's the big problem with this whole thing.

People are actually dumb enough to read things the media says and take them as the solid and holy truth.

Also, we apparently have 50 secondary violations in football this year.

Some of our young left leaning Vol fans can now understand why some of us get so frustrated with the way the MSM treats folks like Palin... half truths, whole lies, and innuendo are substituted for facts.

This really isn't all that surprising coming from the NYT's. They're pretty desperate financially and struggling to remain relevant in a world where any Joe with a internet connection can get news about as close to the source as the typical NYT's writer. If you boil it down, we've gotten more "hard news" here at Volnation on this subject than has been published in these NYT stories.

You'd be hardpressed to demonstrate that the news published here has had any more pro UT bias than the NYT's articles have had an anti UT bias.
