Memphis to deep, Orange can RUN with them, think Prince wants some (MPS) DIS! WE HAVE to get inside.Williams? Crews out,Please MR. LOFTEN, PRINCE ECT>> Memphis looks strong,Arizona? We can beat'um, BOTH? And your take?
I don't this team is playing on the same level as Memphis, at least as of yet. We still have a ways to go until that game though so anything can happen.
After almost two solid months of Conference USA opponents, Memphis might lose a step at the beginning of our game. That is the only shot we would have to beat them IN Memphis as of this moment. You never know what things will be like in two months though. I think we are improving. I don't believe it will be a blowout no matter which team wins.
right now, we need a win over Gonzaga, and a win over Ole Miss to kick off conference play. luckily we dont have to face Memphis anytime soon. those cats are flat out ballers. they made Hibbert look like a fool.
#0 would be the great inside player Shawn Taggert, and if you think he is who the Vols have to worry about when playing Memphis, you would definately be wrong!
I agree that The Kitty Cats of Tiger High are playing good basketball. Derrick Rose is a hell of a player but up until the Cinncinati game he has been out of control and very streaky in his shooting. Taggert has been a big suprise. Tough kid, he has had the most consistant season so far. Chris Douglas Roberts is their best player. When he is on, he is gonna get his so we would need to keep the other four contained. Dorsey is an idiot. Gets in foul trouble early and is easily inticible for stupid fouls.
Andre Allen, and Dosier are excellent players as well.
Memphis has had a habit of allowing the opposing teams to control the flow of the game. Up until the Georgetown game the haven't really played as a team.
Tennessee will be able to run with Memphis. The key to the game will be if Lofton is on or not. The Smith trio will match up well talent wise. It has the potential to be on of the most exciting games of the season in college basketball.
Have some faith man!! CBP will get the team up for this one. Memphis hadn't played a complete game until the Georgetown game. We are just as versatile. You look at our leading scorers in each game. We've had several different players step up each game this year, just like they have. We have finally gotten all of our players out on the floor and now it's just a matter of them playing together in a game situation. As of 3 games ago, JP had only played with our guys in practice situations.
You get in Dorsey's head, that's how you handle him. He's easily frustrated and fouls when that happens. Anyone on our team can do that, add that to the fact that it's a rivalry game and he will be even more amped up and fouls tend to come easy with him when that's the case(see last year's game).
