How important is the Auburn game for us

A win would quell some fraction of the heat on Pruitt unless it's a win where Bailey starts and plays great. Then he's going to get heat for not playing him sooner.

It's at best not likely we win, even though Auburn isn't very good and had refs bail them out in two games this season already or their record would look much worse and Gus would probably have already been canned.

To completely remove the heat we basically have to win out. To lower it modestly you need to win 2 of 3 and a bowl. Only beating Vandy and some crap bowl team won't cut it. That's assuming we'd take a bowl. Not sure but every NCAA team is bowl eligible this year and we are a bigger tv draw than some 6-4 directional school even at 3-7.

Losing out puts Pruitt's seat in full Chernobyl mode.

Its very important. If we can manage to lose the game in convincing fashion the quicker Pruitt is ran out of here, the less likely Auburn fires Malzan, and the better chance we'll have at hiring Hugh Freeze. So yes, the Auburn game is very important!
